  1. Observer, quick question, of the Supreme Court justices you were speculating may step down, aren't most of them the more left leaning members of the court? I'm ashamed to admit that I don't know nearly as much about the members individually as I should.
  2. I agree that the fact that we're in the middle of a possible crisis is one reason, but the biggest reason IMO is the fact that this election wasn't close. Had this election come down to one state like the last two, then you would have a good portion of whichever side lost bitching and moaning about it. Don't get me wrong, that doesn't make it right, or smart, but I think that's what you would be seeing.
  3. Yeah, you'll get the hang of it.
  4. Only three votes G-man? You slacker. Most WVians have voted 4 or 5 times by now.
  5. I voted at Peterstown Middle school. Waited in line for a little over an hour.
  6. Yeah, get the auto industry going, then all we need is for WVU to win a big game to reinvigorate the furniture industy.
  7. Wow, 28 attempts in one half. His arm must be tired. Maybe he should rest in the second half.....please?
  8. G-man is right, a game with Abingdon would do nothing to help them.
  9. Well, unless Rahall retires...he'll definitely get it.
  10. Gotta disagree with you on one point. Nader is 74 years old. By definition....an old fart.
  11. Like I said, I'm voting for him, I just hadn't seen any polls for this one and I wasn't sure what the deal was this year.
  12. Beavertail. I'm voting for the guy, but is their any realistic hope that he can actually win at this point? I'm just asking because Rahall has been a juggernaut in this state for a long long time.
  13. Yeah, when I was there, they had a history professor(whose name I'm just blanking on right now) who actually was a self-proclaimed communist. He had spent a good deal of time in the Soviet Union and really bought into that system. Needless to say, his classes were...interesting. Especially since I was there in the very early 90's. The wall had come down, and the Soviet Union was starting to crumble. It was quite entertaining.
  14. Yeah, man I was just joking. When I was there the school was pretty liberal, but that's been a LONG time ago.
  15. What, so they wanted you to shut up so they finally voted that way? Kidding, just kidding.
  16. Actually the clown who came up with this is a democrat who was supporting Hillary in the primaries. This has been going on for a while.
  17. I could well be wrong, but I think the judge in the case tossed it out.
  18. Taylor has a high ankle sprain. Glennon hurt his leg, but right now their just calling it a lower leg injury.
  19. I think Scott will have an almost impossible time trying to stop Bluefield's passing attack. If they can play ball control and keep the Bluefield offense off the field, they can keep it respectable. Bluefield 28 Scott 12. That's a pretty conservative prediction, I actually expect Bluefield to roll until they play South Charleston.
  20. I'll be at home all day tomorrow. I'll give you a call before 1 if I can remember. Yeah, it seems kind of fitting to me that the JM/Bluefield game this year is on Halloween. It could be, well....scary.
  21. I don't think the coach has a great deal to do with the emotion either. I think in the 98-99 years you had great on field leadership from Ben Thornton among other guys. Last year the emotional leader always seemed to me to be Zach Mann. This years team at this point just doesn't seem to have that emotional leader. It'll happen eventually, but someone will have to grow into that role.
  22. How is the kid that was the star on the Peterstown Middle team last year doing on JV? I'm blanking on the name right now, but I think he was number 22?
  23. In the two games I've managed to watch this season, it seems like the offensive unit is just completely unsure of what they are doing. They seem to be thinking way too much and that is taking away their aggression. On the emotion aspect, I never really thought Jackson's teams were particularly emotional, and the current staff is pretty tame on the sidelines. You need an emotional leader on the field, and I'm not sure they have that this year.
