Feel like the D had prepared more for Belfry than the others, remember many of these guys are 10 grade stepping up to 11, much to learn.
If they learn to prepare for the team that is up next they will grow, just as last years D did in their junior year.
Belfry didn't throw all them big linemen on the field at one time.  44 committed to Louisville, played some both sides of the ball, 61 Kentucky committee didn't play at all, and 23  some here and some there. On their score they used 23 couple plays and then 44 on score. First  offensive series for Richlands they both were loaded in the D.

This I would say, they were some very solid teams there tonight, should have plenty to grow and learn from.

I said that before we saw them practice. I agree that I did. I also said if the LBs come through and play consistently, that this defense could be a good one. And from what I've heard from coaches and seen, they think they can be a good defense.

Seth is Adrian's son, Devon's brother.  He has lived here longer than any of them.  If he applies the hard work and desire his uncle did, he will raise to where ever he wants to be. Right now we are in the need for some strong linebacker play as much as a running back.  Seth has that potential to fit that bill more than most. If he has that nose for the ball his uncle did he will be a beast. Watched him run some on JV.  He can run some ball.
He is a junior, need to bring him along  little by little.  His grandpa was a beast but was thrown into things to quick.

My favorite part of the season is watching all them new faces step up.  There are several upcoming seniors, juniors,  10th and 9th graders just chopping at the bit to get their chance.  If they apply the fire and desire it's going to be fun to watch.

I just hoping somebody can make Appomatox travel to our side of the state.

Addison, Wade, Holmes some of the strongest and football smart we have had but if you reflect a little,
Will Lowe, Wicks, Cody Thomas, Clayburne if we have anybody willing to invest their heart and time these coaches know how to get them there.

    tricks I use

Atkins candy bars, the 15, 17 gram types.  Between lunch and dinner somewhere around 3 I get a sugar drop, if I don't snack makes it very hard not to overeat at dinner. They are good to keep in your car in case you get caught out somewhere you can't eat like you want.

Low carb protein shake mixed with almond milk and ice.  That late at night after dinner snack.  If your working out to gain muscle, one of these just after you work out.  Having the nutrients in place to rebuild muscle is one of the most critical parts of muscle gain.

In all seriousness, pay off all of my debts and any attached to direct family members. Invest in a quality security system.  Buy a new Ranger boat.  Make a donation to my HS alma mater to help take care of whatever need is there at this time.  Find someone to trust with investments and begin my retirement career as a fisherman.

I never really answered what I would do with the money.

I would create a charitable corporation that would specialize in providing trade education and employment to those with criminal histories involving incarceration.  After living in this world for a few years, by far the largest predictor of success after incarceration is sustainability, and that's something for which there is almost zilch in SWVA and rural Appalachia.

I would establish three branches to this operation.

The first would be a technical school for those who have no job training whatsoever, to be done while on probation or shortly after misdemeanor incarceration.    We're talking masonry, carpentry, welding, truck driving, mechanic, machinist, beautician, etc.  People are no good to employers without skills, and a trade that can be learned in 1-2 years (whereas the average length of probation is 3 years on felonies) would be something that would set them up for long-term success while otherwise working to pay off their fines.  The second would be working with the actual corporation itself.  During the later stages of probation, or for those who already have a trade, a charitable corporation could underbid the Hell out of public procurement contracts and secure enough work to last a lifetime.  This is aside from establishing a solid reputation in the community.  The third would be job placement services, more along the lines of a headhunter operation than a temp agency.  We're talking everything from mock interviews, to resume workshops, to job fairs, etc.  And with a trade plus 1-2 years of actual work experience and proving themselves on probation, those people are marketable (again).  Ideally, you would like to send some of them off to receive training so that they could come back to the corporation and themselves teach some of the trade courses.

The investment would be extremely substantial at first, at least until donations and governmental grants/funding would come in.  It would never run at a profit, but ideally, the "student body" would lessen over time.  This is life improvement, after all.

High protein low carbs.  Us big guys have muscle just need to grow it, tone and use it to burn calories.  Your weight will decide the quality of your life. You can actually turn back the clock or maybe right the clock and make yourself feel younger. Sometimes I think our bodies  carve protein but we feed it to many carbs, potatoes, bread, starch--- use protein to kill the hunger and drink plenty of water. It can be, day by day, week by week, month by month, don't stop make it your life.

For all those having football withdrawal.  If you search  "Virginia preps video vault" scroll down to Richlands and watch #7 highlights,  Appomattox and Buckingham highlights are on there.

I watched it on the VHSL stream site.  To me it looked like Appomattox controlled the  whole game with their D  except one drive. They had to much speed to the ball for an all run team. And then in final quarter Clark gave up on run and tryed to pass, the Raiders were ready for that.

I would have liked to have seen our bunch against the single wing this year.  To me after Giles destroying us a couple years ago it looked like this D was build with that in mine. Very strong, football smart, and fast to the ball, add to that Mance's knowledge of the single wing, it would have been fun to watch.

For me it all starts in the trenches, it will be who can execute their game plan the best.  This "D" has some things going for it most can'''t see till they get on the field with it.  If they hold them close the first quarter and see if they can't put some wear on them, than adjust and get better on thru the game it will be one battle of a game.
Reminds me of 2007 Beaver team, could be a very tight game.
