I know Tazewell is a very small double AA school, smaller than a lot of single A schools. Does anyone know where I can find how many students are in each high school?

School Board meets tonight....we should know something!

My dad went Rich Valley High and played football back in the 70's. They combined Saltville and Rich Valley and made Northwood, dad says it was like combining Richlands and Tazewell or Graham and Bluefield, they were huge rivals.

Heard they named one...any news?????

I agree but you can stop one kid from scoring 6 or 7. If kids who have never scored at lighting it up I have no problem with that.

At what point do you have sportsmanship and say 3 for a hat-trick, maybe 4 but 7....thats on the coach. Kids don't know any better they just keep hammering away. I'd like to see coaches have a little more character....not downing G-Girls, they are great and I wish them the best of luck, saying this for all sports Football included.

It also had a lot to do with who shows up to vote. The majority of coaches that voted may have played Richlands. There are a lot of factors that go into it.

I agree, Tunstall had a losing record and Marion wasn't that good. I think RHS will be ready though, who ever turns the ball over the most loses.

I think we are going to beg him to stay. I hope he does but nothing here holding him, that is what worries me. The job is his if he wants to stay. No on expected him to turn the team around in one year. I really thought if we won 2 or 3 games it would be more than could be hoped for. If he leaves after one year and we have to go with 4 coaches in 4 years we might as well close up shop.

The problem is you have had a few coaches throughout the years who have ran players off. You have had several dads come in and coach who play their kids over kid that should be playing. In return the kids who have been treated like that don't come back out the next year. Why do off season workouts and practice everyday just for someone that isn't as good as you start over you becasue their dad is there. It has been going on so long the program is about to the point of no return. I think things will get better, they can't get any worse than 0-10. I hope coach tate stays it wont be fixed over night.

If RHS is ever has a down year people will try to hang 100 on them. It's not right I realize but they have destroyed everyone for so long.

We won't do that. We will end up getting beat like a drum and it would probably be a great idea. As far as the money Tazewell people won't show up it's cold, we will be 0-9, and we will be pounded. I'll be there just saying. I thought that it was a horrible idea to make this the last game. The only reason for people from Tazewell to show up is to watch the Southwest Virginia Southern West Virgina all-star team.

I think that most people are really still excited about Coach Tate. He is excited about our program and making it grow. I just hope that he sticks it out. Its not going to turn around over night.
