Why does Radford get compared for everything? Region C DII isn't too good, just the teams are so balanced. No team from Region C DII has a shot at the state title.

Scholarships don't mean a thing. Well, that's not totally true, but to some degree it is. Look at Mt. Union, they could compete in the Sun Belt, yet they don't offer scholarships. I play DIII soccer, we beat a DII school today who does offer scholarships. The quality of players is the same, it just boils down to how "marketed" the players were in HS. In some cases, I actually think DIII is better than DII and NAIA. This is coming from the guy whose school was ran up and down the field last week against E&H, but whatever.

I don't know any coal miners personally, but you have to respect them. My college coach brought up coal miners during our halftime speech the other night and it in a way struck close to home being from SWVA. I have all the respect in the world for the miners.

George Wythe looks like the clear favorite so far in the HOGO. I think Chilhowie will be the only team that could possible beat them. Other district teams have been poor so far.

No way Boise puts up points, and even if they do their defense cannot contain our offense. Ryan Matthews ran rampant on them last season. I'll take VT's O-Line over Fresno States and Ryan Williams, David Wilson, and Darren Evans over Ryan Matthews any day. Boise keeps it close, but VT pulls away late. Virginia Tech 34 Boise State 20
