Great City...at first reading your post I thought..."seriously...you just sent their coach a game plan". However..I got to pondering and realized you just described every Gate City team in the last 40 years. So...carry on my friend because it is no secret what we do or will do. It seems to have done pretty well over the years.

LoL....couple of the GC fans that i assume are "in the know GC fans" were yelling after a few questionable calls "no wonder Richlands doesn't want to play up here anymore". I thought it quite humorous. Bottom line...the calls made no difference in the outcome. We could not contain their speed on the outside. I agree with GC Quincy as along as the effort is there is all that matters this year. GC will be back...no doubt about it.

Also from what i read Richlands fans outnumbered Bee's fans. The same was true for GC....we had at least 3 to 1 fans more than Radford. Good luck to both teams next week. Bring them trophies home boys!!

He coached at John Battle before going to PV. I also think he coach in Christiansburg prior to Battle...not sure about that though.

I too hope the series is extended past these two games. I personally miss the trips up to Mitchell back when we were playing Graham for years. Great stadium and great atmosphere for HS football Side note question...when Bluefield and Graham play i assume they alternate who is home from year to year but do they alternate locker rooms as well and what about the fans do they alternate sides of stadium from year to year? Also, does the college get compensated for the use of thier stadium or is it a city owned facility? Just being curious...thanks in advance for any repsonse.

GC played mistake free football and took advantage of Bluefields turnovers. By far (including Sullivan South) Bluefield IMHO is the best defensive team i have witnessed this year and for many years for that matter. Great game on both sides. The Lilley kid was a pleasure to watch..great athlete.

LoL...my dad was a Shaker back in the day (early 60's). Went on to coach the Rich Valley Steers for years and retired coaching at Tunstall home of the Trojans. Also...I think the actual name of the HS in Saltville was R.B. Worthy. Been a long time but can someone confirm this?

That's pretty true because it is basically the same "warmup" process they have done probably since the 70's. Honestly though i never put much on warmups...seen too many teams that after seeing them warmup i thought were world beaters and then when the ball was kicked off they got their ass handed to them and vice versa. As far as the game, i see bluefield winning but not by 4tds. This pregame hype reminds me of the '03 title game between GC and Essex. Essex had too much speed, talent, GC cant handle the spread and so on. Granted this isnt the '03 GC team but if GC plays thier game,executes, and doesnt turn the ball over it should be "hum dinger" "slobberknockin" "hellavu" game.
