Asbury from Richlands and Sturgill from Abingdon are the top 2 QBs. Asbury has 33 TD to just 5 INT and he's missed 8 quarters due to being benched because the score is too lopsided.

A few weeks back someone called in to complain about the pre game prayer that Hurley's coaching staff and PA announcer has done for years with the team and fans. In response the school board took action to ban the coaches and PA announcer from the prayer.  The team has taken it upon themselves to take a prayer on midfield prior to kickoff, sadly without the coaching staff. Graham wins and moves up 6 spots. Ridgeview wins and loses a spot....both were tied at 16 seed before Friday....weird!

Just my opinion but the Bears will have their hands full with GC this year.. Hunter Collier back with McClung and others. Bears barely scraped their way back last game to beat GC.. I'm not from Union or GC..The schedule GC plays in early season is that which a few teams only face in playoffs. Bears will be a good team...will they be as good as last year is yet to be seen. Richlands lost a ton of great seniors too.. Don't know if they will be as good as last years team.. Time will tell. Teams may have guys who will step up and amaze their fan base.  

For anyone not busy Sat we will be doing FCA Hogoheegee versus Cumberland District Basketball game tom at 4pm at Eastside. Coach Chad Bailey of Marion and Coach Matt Snodgass of Chilhowie coaching the Hogo team. Great coaches. Free Admission to all students. Snow ought to be moving out in the morning. We have had rain , snow and then more rain here at Wise tonight.

To beat Richlands, you're gonna have to outscore Richlands, IMO. And that may take 42+ to beat the RHS offense. Only losing RB and one WR, and adding in the Graham transfer, the only real question for the Richlands offense is RB. The defense is the unit that lost the most. So it may take a few games for that unit to gel. I could be wrong, but I think it's gonna take 42 or more to beat Richlands this year unless a team has a special defense (ala Appo last season).

I watched King a couple of times in the Conference Carolinas tournament a couple of weeks ago.  CJ and Patrick are carbon copies of each other.

He was by far the most consistent defender GC had. Just not sure if he can cause Patrick any problems or not.

Yeah, he's like the Steph Curry of high school ball... Basically if you don't have a body on him, he's dangerous from anywhere inside half court.

Glad to see Lee Co. and the Cumberland Dist. represented well. 3 great players!!

Will be a tough game for the VA squad. Patrick Good will cause problems as soon as the ball is tipped. Will be a fun game though...sure hope i can make it.

So how does these games usually go. Does Tennessee usually dominate this game? I cant see where that boys lineup couldn't at least compete.

My wife and I watched the movie this evening and thought it was very well done.  Wide range of emotions and very uplifting as you stated earlier.  I would recommend this movie to anyone.
