I'm just an ole country boy and catch the news on occasionally but do happen to see a tv ad every now and then. One Ad talks about coal business will suffer if Obama is elected and the other speaks of Romney changing medicare and social security system for a voucher system? Don't know how the voucher system would work? Like I say fellers, I'm just an ole country boy and I am just trying to figure out who to vote for. lol Any help on this? Thanks

Know alot of the youngsters on EB Stanleys team from little league. They have some kids who can play. Saying that, they always seem to have "talent" but havent seen it equal to much more than a hill of beans in varsity play. Just another thought from the crowd . . . .;)

I guess if you have a huge school and you beat a smaller school who has a history of struggling then yeah; congrats then? You abingdon kids crack me up?

They have turned it around down there and I think they will "take out the trash" this friday night.

Think its tough to bring football back at a small school when you are playing those large schools and losing. I talked to a friend from Saltville and he told me they lost 5 players after they played Marion. A small school doesn't replace 5 players and win.

I do most of my serious posting and reading on the Hogo Forum but tend to check out this forum simply to see whats going on in "Abingdon." Even though they can cause my blood to boil I do find myself wondering how the birds do every friday mainly because of FM and SB. Like it or leave it its the darn truth.

Have to call you out on that one, your good coach there plays varsity kids down on JV. I witnessed that myself last year at my sons game. So he gets them at JV level.

Have to take issue with that statement. I'll admit I had my reserves about Coach Palmer but he has proven to be a good coach. I think he is working hard and getting our boys to play hard. Palmer is a good one. Also, we have well over 40 kids who seem to love football not 33 as you think.

Thanks Vols, I would love to see it happen. The rebels are improving every week. Lets hope they get it done Friday Night.

Palmer has enough on his plate resurrecting the football program, think they need to hire a PH alum, one that cares for the rebels, think snodgrass is the answer.

I don't think he is the answer. Think he is more of a college guy, definitely struggles relating to high school kids. Wonder how his recruiting skills are?

Ph has played both schools and would have to say that Honaker looked to be better. Should be a good game.

Think this sums it up. Abingdon don't have anything for teams over there.

There are some teams in the hogo who play kids down on JV all the time just to get wins. Just ask Holston and Northwood.

I think it evens up the playing field. Give more teams a chance to experience playoffs.
