Virginia High is vastly improved, with a significant improvement within the coaching staff. The schedule needs to be the next thing the school addresses. 

VHS should bring back Tennessee High. Should have never been eliminated.

I sure miss falconman and barnacleboy or whatever they were called 😉 

I have been disappointed with the “watering down” of the VHS schedule in recent years.

It has gone on since long before Daniels became baseball coach. VHS has wallowed in football mediocrity throughout the programs history.

Those were the days. 

Gonna be tough for High School sports to survive without football gate money. It finances nearly the entire school sports budget. 

Some report major college fall sports will be postponed due to many conferences opting out. Talks continue tomorrow and Tuesday among Power 5.

It's looking more likely for fall baseball and spring football in Tennessee. I see something similar in VA.

Unless there is a clear trend in population decline pointing to historic numbers (like a reduction to levels in the year 1900 or thereabouts), Tazewell County probably doesn't have any better option than to simply sit tight for a few years.

Others have thought the same but in the end....consolidation.
