So extremely minor stuff, nothing serious at all. Except the firearm in the car, most people see jail time for that.
But the second arrest screams profiling, because someone has a nice car at a barber shop they should be scrutinized?
After researching more, and I advise you do the same, he circled the block or something... made it look suspicious. Cop ran the plates and saw the violations.
Tough to discredit the cop form doing their job of investigating suspicious activity. We can argue all day about the nature of suspicion but neither of us were there. I take the cops word it was suspicious even if the activity was not intended to be.
Im not 100% sure, but I believe one arrest was for doing 100+ mph down Stone Dr. I am not sure if that was the first or second but pretty sure one of the arrests was for that.

In 07, he was doing 85 or 87 down Stone Dr. Had a firearm in car without permit. he did tell cop he had it in his car without being asked to. So he was doing the right thing!
In 09, he was getting his haircut outside a barber shop/gun store area. He was in his Bentley and a cop saw it and it felt out of place. They ran the plates and noticed he had some unpaid citations or something in which he had a suspended license. Cop let him finish his haircut and then arrested him.
As in anything, the successful coach has good players backed by good sat coaches and administrators. I believe he loves to win and that is picked up by the players and onto the field
The powers that be at Crockett and Washington Co. seem to be rather toxic. If I were Brandon then leaving seems as if it would be more desirable.
If I was him I would jet simply because of the situation. No one in their right mind would stay at DC after this fiasco.
Tough to blame the admin in this situation. If you have not listened to the tapes on GS's Facebook do it. It is crazy... if you let an outsider listen to it, they'd think it was a convo between the principal and student. He is not suited to be working in a school setting.
Honest or not, the admin probably gave him he directive NOT to mention the protesting or make kids feel bad for protesting. He likely got caught in the moment and blurted something out. Admin terminated.
It is easy to speculate the situation, but no one on this board knows what was said prior to the interim take over.
Hopefully Qualls high tales it outta there this year and another school does not hold this against him.
Qualls was dismissed after failing to comply with the administration’s directive to unite the players.

I mean I read the article... Just assumed someone here knew more info on this. Seems weird that the admin had enough confidence in him to take the reigns after sending GS to the house to then turn around and relieve Qualls of his duties. The admin placed someone in the HC role they had confidence in and this "failure to unite team" is fishy. Curious if anyone had more insight.
The poor baseball coach though... he is now coaching a team that is decent. Hope the guy is recruiting for this baseball team now!
The real victim(s) in all of this are the kids who were enjoying their best season in a decade, and now have to deal with having three head coaches in three weeks -- which is absurd. Can anyone else think of a time/situation where a team went through a similar transition?
I saw where he had let his buddy post them on facebook yesterday but did not take the time to listen yet. Whether or not the info on those tapes helps his case it definitely wasnt the smartest way to go about it.
IMO, it ruins his case. Sure he airs dirty laundry but it makes him sound like a high school kid. Literally sitting in the principal's office talking over her after he is punished for behavior lol.
GS is acting like a kid now. Be a man, take your termination, and move on.
GS also let someone have access to his taped meeting with DC admin when he got suspended. Then this guy posted it to his FB. Literally is cringe worthy... Take a listen.
I have been following this and I see a problem. Eveything the coach says may be true but if he cared about the students he would not have waited until he needed to pul an ace out of the hole. I beleive both sides are at fault and the coach should be releived of his dutes while there is other heads that must roll. What a mess
Kelly /Central has more excuses than Doans has little pills, Dotson won there and left, Saunders was ran off for cursing kids?Abingtons coach was at Central ran off, all three left and won elsewhere. Kelly/Pound/ Central kids win in other sports(but the coach is a strong coach, Aka Mac Shupe , Dave Bentley , Rick Mullins ) so the athletes are there so it has to be the situation

lol! I agree though. The guy seems rather under dressed for some of these public appearances though.
But man what a mess this has become. If the allegations he has tossed out toward the AD are true, a lawsuit will follow no doubt. GS better be correct or his coaching days anywhere are toast.
