blueinbama 259 Report Share Posted October 26, 2007 Question...IF, and it's a big IF... Abingdon, RHS, and GHS all end up with tying district records, who gets the SW District trophy? Is it determined by head to head results or points? Just curious.
Lance 228 Report Share Posted October 26, 2007 i think it goes by points if they all end up tied.
blueinbama 259 Author Report Share Posted October 26, 2007 Do you mean even if RHS and Graham have the same record, and Abingdon loses another one, that the head to head between GHS and RHS means nothing?
ghs84 10 Report Share Posted October 26, 2007 if Graham goes undefeated in the district then they are the SWD Champs.but if Graham,Richlands, and Abingdon have 1 loss a piece then it would be decided by points.

[/ QUOTE ] OK maybe I'm not making myself clear on my last post...let's take Abingdon out of the picture for arguments sake...if GHS and RHS both end up tied, and Abingdon loses and is out, then it's decided by points, and the fact that GHS beat RHS means nothing, because RHS will be ahead on points and RHS will be awarded the trophy...is that correct? If it is, it's warped!
ghs84 10 Report Share Posted October 26, 2007 i agree.it totally sux.but Richlands beat Abingdon.
Lance 228 Report Share Posted October 26, 2007 if they all end up say 5-1 (or whatever) in the SWD then it goes by points...
ghs84 10 Report Share Posted October 26, 2007 not gonna have to worry about it anyway cause Graham's gonna beat Abingdon and Carroll.

Lance 228 Report Share Posted October 26, 2007 it's pretty simple actually...doesn't matter who beats who...you go to disctrict record...then you go to VHSL power points...the one with the most points wins...if that is tied between tow teams i think then it goes to head to head....total points scored ...who ate the most corn...and all that sort of thing. keeper1 10 Report Share Posted October 27, 2007 the fact that abingdon plays a soft non-district schedule is going to bite them in the ass in a major way, good football team or not.

All three teams are pretty close at this point in the season.
