southbound 19 Report Share Posted October 2, 2009 Whats your game of the week? Obviously from my perspective it is the Abingdon vs JSB and here are some reasons why... 1. Seeing the lights from the interstate 81 knowing its football time. 2. Stadium will be jam packed - reminds me of death valley. 3. Concession stand - that smell of popcorn is undeniable. 4. The Band - two great band programs going at it for washington county supremecy. 5. Biggest schools in the county battle for bragging rights. 6. Winning this game will give us the momentum to finish the season strong. 7. And finally, it is the game of the week because we are FALCON AWESOME!:D

GMan 3,569 Report Share Posted October 2, 2009 Hate to disappoint you but there are several other games that I'd consider "Game of the Week". If you really want to see THE "Game of the Week"...drive on down to Gate City...Bluefield vs. Gate City...tons of pride and tradition in that one plus two GOOD football teams going at it for the first time ever... Other games that I would find much more appealing than the Crows vs. Condoms are: Richlands-Tazewell, George Wythe-Fort Chiswell, Powell Valley-Clintwood, and finally, Big Creek vs. Iaeger for the last time ever... falconfan1 125 Report Share Posted October 2, 2009 I say Castlewood vs. St. Paul! 1. They are separated by about 5 miles. Like the Hatfields vs. the McCoys. 2. They both are awful. 3. They both play for the devil. Devils vs. (Demon Deacons) 4. Former bodybuider vs. the former fullback. Interesting matchup!

littlebluefan 12 Report Share Posted October 2, 2009 i think Holston has a tough one this week...it should be game of the week...open is a pretty tough opponent ha I have Holston vs Open as my game of the week for several reasons. 1. Holston will not offend anyone by scoring a late td to get 50 tonight. 2. Someone in the Cumberland has a chance to win a game. 3. Holston's defense (which reminds me of the Baltimore Ravens) will have a night off. I think their defense is giving up less than 6 points a game. 4. They can go scout Ervington in hopes of adding them to their schedule next year. 5. Another cumberland team should win tonight. Have fun and be safe tonight.
