BigD4VT 11 Report Share Posted February 10, 2010 Richlands' only returning starters are SS Bradley Strong and P/2B Reece Strong. 2B Eric Mulkey was a starter when R. Strong was pitching. Other returning players who had playing time are OF Jack Vance, P/OF Taylor McGhee, and P/1B James Patton. countryboy 11 Report Share Posted February 22, 2010 no one needs to talk about bad fields till you play on hurley's field, or montcalm, and twin valley's isn't much...hurleys is right beside a cow pasture and the field sucks in general...montcalm's is pretty much dirt and gravel...and twin valley's is well a mixture of a bunch of stuff...whoever said grundy's field wasn't nice must be talking about the surrounding like dugouts and press box ect... Â Montcalm doesn't technically have a field. They use an old field in Cooper's , Bramwell. It is horrible. Â The worst I've ever seen is Baileysville....no longer a school. It had so much gravel in the dirt and outfield. It was like playing in sandgravel or cat litter. Â Oh i think Tazewell wins SWD, my darkhorse is Graham. Â I said that. I've been there. I've played on it. It's on the top of a mountain (literally), and it's the worst field in the Southwest District by miles. More bumps and divots on that field than on J.J. Redick's back. Not saying that Graham's isn't 2nd-worst, because it is (though Carroll County's awfully close, and Richlands isn't far behind). I know usually before every majior sport (football, basketball, baseball) somebody post on here "Grundy will win district." This is the most talent and depth Grundy baseball has had in awhile.
