All of those teams are probably on a different level talent wise from what Grundy will be this year, but...slim pickings right now. Either way, Hope they can fill the other 2 slots soon. Can't say for sure, but I'd bet a little bit of $$ that a call out of Bluefield has been made to somewhere in Buchanan County, VA probably before this thread was even created. Grundy had games lined up earlier on, then Pike Central and Shelby Valley both dropped Grundy for other games. Grundy didn't find out until it was time to submit the schedules they had been dropped. So, if any call was made it was likely at a time when Grundy thought they had a full schedule....Grundy lost a lot this year so if they end up playing Bluefield it will probably get ugly fast...I'd say they will try to find a game more evenly matched if possible. Of course this is all just my best guess...i have no way of knowing for sure what exactly is going on...I doubt that many people do. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
futbolking 766 Report Share Posted July 13, 2011 Bluefield lost quite a bit as well, but will probably still be very solid....might still get ugly, but if it's the only option....if I were Grundy, I'd jump on it..... 8 games just sucks....having only 9 is bad enough. I talked to Ward at the all star game a couple of weeks ago...he doesn't know whats up either and said the same thing I said...no change until there is change...lol. Don't get your panties in a wad. lol Plymal said to my father-in-law that he wasn't coaching football this year, who knows, maybe Plymal told him a bunch of crap. Yes, you're right, it is the same old BS that Rowe and Fat Jack are giving it up but I do know for a fact a resignation letter was presented to Principal Keene but not the school board. The dynamic duo may have had a change of heart and decided not to "slit their wrists" because they lost so much to graduation and rebuild this year. Ask Crigger to talk Tug Valley into switcing opponents. There's about half-a-dozen "deja vu" games being played this year in VA... H'burg & TA and Glass & Heritage play twice, so why not Grundy-TV?
