blueinbama 259 Report Share Posted November 28, 2012 Interesting. Louisville will join the Atlantic Coast Conference, becoming the sixth former Big East school to leave for the ACC, sources told ESPN. The ACC's presidents and chancellors voted to add the Cardinals Wednesday morning to replace Maryland, which will leave for the Big Ten in 2014. http://espn.go.com/college-sports/story/_/id/8685541/acc-votes-add-louisville-cardinals-source-says

ThomasDenton 79 Report Share Posted November 28, 2012 Who's left now in the Big East? And who all will be in the Big XII and ACC now? So many schools moving around, I just can't keep up anymore.
GMan 3,569 Report Share Posted November 28, 2012 Interesting. They tell WVU they can't get in the ACC because of academics (#165) yet they invite Loserville (#160). Screw Loserville. They kicked VT out of the Metro Conference back in the day...zero love for that bunch from us "old school" Hokies...

87Tiger 62 Report Share Posted November 28, 2012 IMO, Louisville is an all-around better athletic school than Maryland, just no where near academically though.

Times be desperate, homes. Gotta get to that magical "16". However, I agree, that if Louisville's invited, WVU should've been invited. From what I heard Pitt tried super hard to get WVU in the ACC when the ACC first came calling and Duke and UNC wanted no part of WVU. Then after WVU had already joined the Big 12 that UNC and Duke had warmed up to bringing WVU in but Oliver Luck and President Clements told them they had already burned their bridges. Congratulations on having a new cross-over game! UoL will take Maryland's place in the Atlantic and will play UVA every year.

Should've been Syracuse. Oh well. That's actually close enough that I may consider driving it. Unlike Syracuse or most every other place not in VA/NC. What to call it now? "War for I-64"?
