Bearcat Bob 491 Report Share Posted December 3, 2014 The one thought that kept sneaking into my conscious while watching that game was that it could be worse. Imagine that you are the representative of the "pick your name" bowl . Along about the 3rd quarter or so, you suddenly realize that one of these "offensive juggerNOTs" will be invited to your bowl game. mavsgrad 28 Report Share Posted December 3, 2014 After the season that Tech had, I really don't think you are in any position to poke fun at anyone. I would be worried about getting my own house in order rather that talking smack to your in state rival who nearly beat you and sent you home for the holidays. Hacker 82 Report Share Posted December 3, 2014 Bowl game means the following: One month's extra practice time. Key for those freshmen and red-shirts. Continued discussion of your team in a quiet time helps recruiting. A chance to go to an exotic location. (Shreveport, Annapolis) Per diem money for the players. Swag from the bowl. The right to talk smack to your bretheren who did not. (This is fair game, while not always the tactful move.) stu_bean, cityofRaven, GMan and 1 other
Bearcat Bob 491 Report Share Posted December 3, 2014 Man I am behind the times. When did Annapolis or Shreveport become exotic locales? I image there may be a few exotic "social clubs" for men there but I do no think that is to what you were referring?!? The last time we beat Tech, I was nine years old,†Virginia defensive end Max Valles said. “We’ve got to get stuff going..†olewave

Bearcat Bob 491 Report Share Posted December 10, 2014 Hacker my friend, that is funny. Attributing a comment to another poster, with no basis in truth, is the epitome of trolling.

GMan 3,569 Author Report Share Posted December 10, 2014 That's not bad even considering that stadium only holds 34,000. I think they had 7,500 tickets to sell. I don't think they sold that many either of the last two years (Orlando vs. Rutgers and El Paso vs. UCLA). At least they won't be on the hook for any unsold tickets this year.
