stu_bean 1,058 Report Share Posted September 3, 2015 I have a question that nobody seems to have a solid answer for. At what age is a child supposed to have a ticket to go to the game? I have heard several conflicting answers and others don't really have an answer either.
GMan 3,569 Report Share Posted September 3, 2015 I've always understood it that everyone has to have a ticket. Could be wrong though...
greatwhitemp36 25 Report Share Posted September 3, 2015 Went to the Richlands' Game last week with my 4 year old and i was planning on buying a ticket, however, they said He didn't need one. I would like to know as well because he seems to be more interested in going to the games this year.

GC_Quincy 582 Report Share Posted September 3, 2015 At one time, they only charged once a child started going to school. Like Ryan said though, most schools make those decisions on their own. sportsfan
stu_bean 1,058 Author Report Share Posted September 3, 2015 I know a few years ago I asked at the ticket booth and they asked if they were in school yet. They said only then did they need a ticket. That was at Tazewell. Something I heard somewhere last year, don't remember where, an 8 yr old didn't need a ticket. So I guess the next question is, does anybody know what it is for Graham? My 6yr old wants to go to more games with me now. School question is tricky since they are both home schooled.
Jason 299 Report Share Posted September 3, 2015 For Gate City it is when they start school.
sixcat 2,942 Report Share Posted September 3, 2015 It has been my experience children who haven't started school are not asked to pay. I am sure that is not the case everywhere but it has been my experience around SWVA. I am also fairly certain VHSL would frown upon any school not gouging every family for more money who are attending games across the state. sportsfan
VHSLhelper 571 Report Share Posted September 4, 2015 When I used to go to games, ticket prices at the booth were for Adult or Student. Don't know how it's done nowadays
