falconfan1 125 Report Share Posted August 18, 2016 PH may want to take off as much time on the clock as possible to keep AHS from scoring 50 tonight. Hopefully the Falcons can get some work on offense with their second team.
Ryan4VT 4,557 Report Share Posted August 18, 2016 PH is not a push over. Good, quality 1A team. Not saying they'll win, but they won't be a pushover.

GC_Quincy 582 Report Share Posted August 18, 2016 After watching Abingdon last week at Volunteer, PH's only hope is if their bus doesn't start. My brother lives in Church Hill and swears #25 is still running through Crockett.

SWVAFB 218 Report Share Posted August 18, 2016 PH will be a good A1 TEAM, and should stay with the Falcons for a qrt or two. But Abingdon just has too much skill and depth in this one. Humphrey is as good as they Get at RB for PH, but the Rebs will need more than just him. Sturgill is the best in SWVA, along with Asbury for Richlands, and he should showcase His skills tonight in Emory. Falcons 42 PH
Falcon Mania 235 Report Share Posted August 18, 2016 Looks like it may be a repeat of last years benifit game. Muddy wet mess. I'm not sure what PH has coming back this year other than the Humphries kid. From what I've heard they are down and lost quite a bit on the OL and DL. On the upside football will be clicking every week till Nov/Dec and thats a good thing.

swvafbrespect 67 Report Share Posted August 19, 2016 PH is not loaded but return 7 starters on each side of the ball. They are a quality 1a ream but no match for a strong 3 a tean

Falcon Mania 235 Report Share Posted August 19, 2016 Game Summary: Starters played about a quarter and a half. Started a little slow and then reeled off 21 points. AHS 21 PH 0 at 8:00 to go in the 2nd Qtr AHS played 3 QB's and all seemed efficient in their roles. Sturgill looks like he hasn't missed a beat since last season. Running game looked improved and there is now some quality depth. WR's. Well they are probably 3 or 4 deep at that position. AHS seems to have found their heir apparent kicker for next year and beyond in the Griffith kid who is just a freshman. Defense was a bright spot as they looked much improved from last weeks scrimmage at Volunteer. Defense definitely held Humphries in check all night. For the most part it looked like both coaches were working more on reps for the depth as 2's and 3's seen a lot of field time. Even PH seemed to be developing depth. 4th Qtr was majority JV and 3rd string QB's working. Final AHS 35 PH
