Grundy is a prime example of the separation between class 1 and 2 in our area. When facing Tazewell last week, they lose by a couple of scores (although they controlled the game for a period), but have their way with peers Honaker and GW. PH rules the roost on its Class 1 schedule, but is beaten soundly by Virginia High. Lee has also beaten Class 1 heavyweights.

If Grundy doesn’t get behind, they can play with anyone in 1D.

When you look through the threads a lot of people thought This was the year GW got Galax.  Which to be honest a few say that every year , but a lot more than usual had made that statement this year .

Well, the Hokies have unfortunately never won a title in football, but I'm hopeful we will someday get one, as I'm sure Grundy is hoping for the same.

I’m just not sure about 1C this season now. Galax’s win over Glenvar is far less impressive now. They struggled with Giles and we aren’t a good team and they struggled with FC who also isn’t good. GW struggled with FC, barely beat RR, then got beat down by Grundy. I’ll be the first to admit that I may have overhyped Galax and GW. Grayson may be the silent sleeper that represents Region C. They are only team that has looked impressive thus far.

Yeah but the teams they have played have a record of like 4-27. We will know a lot more the next two weeks

I overhyped Glenvar. Still can't believe the team I saw dismantle Abingdon every play, and then result to what they are now. It's the most I've been fooled or wrong on a preseason team in years. As for Galax......hold tight. It ain't over with them yet. You might not have overhyped them at all. When the ducks are clear, don't be surprised of Galax is back in Salem. When the chips fall, don't bet against them to  come out of the west, even in 2022. I'm not. I'm picking them until someone beats em.
