thundercloud 179 Report Share Posted December 3, 2006 Was standing on the fence looking straight down the yard line at them, about 25-30 yards away. Was trying to watch the kids head as he went to the ground, didn't even see what happen to the football. Hardest hit hands down.
RHS71 10 Report Share Posted December 3, 2006 Scared everyone in the stadium I think. I was afraid he was hurt too and it would seem like we were cheering him getting hurt. Bet he is sore now. Awesome hit Wicks.

BigD4VT 11 Report Share Posted December 3, 2006 The game (and thus the hit... make that THE HIT) was televised on tape delay by a Roanoke station. My aunt in Salem was planning to Tivo it for me. I'll let you know when I get it. Also, maybe someone with connections could arrange for Time Warner to air it on a community access channel? rhscheerleader08 10 Report Share Posted December 3, 2006 well yesterday at hidden valley I think Wicks would be the best hit because that guys helmet and chin guard flew off and the ball popped right out of his hands into the hands of RICHLANDS! BigD4VT 11 Report Share Posted December 3, 2006 That hit will be legendary. I really wish I had gotten the shot. I'm always focused on either the returner or the punter... this time it was the punter.

I'm sure the few people who stayed in Richlands would love to see it and I know I would. I wouldn't trade being on the sidelines for anything but it's hard to really watch the game through a viewfinder.
