I think it depends on two things from what I have seen.  What kind of run plays does Marion run and how does their O line hold up and how is their pass defense?

I think when it comes down it will be within the 7-9 point range.  If only we had a kicker to rely on...

Marion runs the spread we run draws, read options, speed sweeps the thing is we can throw the ball to go with Wagner which makes it hard to defend this team when they get going the offensive line is just as big as Chilhowie's or a little bigger I think the pass D is better than the run D at this point in the season I think it comes down to turnovers and which team can limit the big plays on offense cause both can score quickly. This may be one of the best Marion and Tazewell games we have seen

I hope that Tazewell wins this match up.  I am appalled of the lack of sportsmanship shown by Marion's Head Coach this past Friday Night.  Everyone knows its been a tough transition for our club this year.  We are struggling to find traction.  After having a comfortable lead and a score, Marion chose to onside kick it so they can get another score.  This to me is their head coach's way of padding their stats.  It was certainly uncalled for and I think they will get whats coming to them.  Another reason why they can't win in the playoffs.  Overrated stats from beating up smaller schools and a classless coach.  I certainly hope Tazewell wins this game.

Observations of mine, pass defense is good on our part but has lapses as well.  Seems that we can defend the run well depending on how they get handled at the line.  Speed wise there isn't anybody that we have played so far that has more speed than we do from our key players.  Should be a good game and hopefully the fans remember from a few years ago our only win was Marion that dreaded 1-9 season.

Worst thing about playing Marion is I hate the visitor section over there (or lack of)  Of course kind of got spoiled the first couple of time I went there as the my girlfriend's (wife now) family was friends with the superintendent so parked right next to the stands and had easy time there even though I was on the wrong side!

Should be a good matchup for sure! I can't wait for Friday! I agree on the visitor seating but love the lighting here. Come on over, you can sit with us on our side.

A sea of red with a dot of green! I have family that lives in Marion so I can get away with it although they are all out of school now. Always glad to meet other fellow members and enjoy a good game.

We would enjoy having you over. Most games, there are visiting fans on our side. Ryan and Blue Razor used to come over all of the time.

WOW. Guess the chicken has come home to roost. Your boy "the coach" has done the same thing as often as he could.

Might have to mosey on over and look you guys up at some point.

Stu I promise you, you would enjoy it!  Canes and Hurricane are great guys that love their High School football team! If you do go meet them I want you to just straight up punch both of them in the mouth and say......that's from Razor....lol

Good luck to both teams and it should be a good one. On another serious note if you do go over and meet them please shake both of their hands for me and tell them Razor said HEY!

Hey Canes and Hurricane im sorry I shouldn't have said that. Ryan will probably have to watch my back the next time we see one another(I hope). Me and Ryan have got a chance to meet a few of you and I have enjoyed it. Stu you will find out that Canes and Hurricane really do know their football and sometimes its good to know who you are in the middle of a good argument with but probably not knowing is best most of the time. You really would enjoy them.

My thoughts on the game are mixed. Its really hard to gauge just how good Tazewell is thus far because of the first four games being at home. My opinion being a major factor for them and probably will hurt down the road. That being said.....they are very talented and have good size with speed also. Just love the RB and how he runs. He is a very tough kid and hard to bring down. Jordan is a very athletic WR that runs great with good size and very good hands. QB is the leader and very good at it. He can throw and run and throws a very good deep ball. So they can score and score very fast which is good and bad. So in short Tazewell can with those weapon's.....  can and will score. I just want to wait until after Marion and Richlands to crown them the favorite. If they do beat Marion and then us......I will then be on the Bulldog bandwagon as far as the hype.

I think from what I know about Marion that they are pretty solid in most phases of the game and are playing with confidence and at home. I am going with the home team in this one and find it hard to predict a score but here it is

Marion-35

Tazewell-33

I agree with Razor....but I don't know enough to about each team this year to make a valid prediction.  If forced, I would pick the home team...for obvious reasons.  AHS plays both of them so I am interested in the outcome and the "how" it happened.  I like watching someone else's putt...get a good line that way.

I'll make a point to head over and find the guys.  I will probably end up getting there early anyway since I will be heading straight from work.

Wagner was a beast last year I can only imagine he is even better.  What I am afraid of is what I have been leery of all season, the kicking game.  I'm not referring to the onside kicks.  I wish they would be deeper but they have yet to be a complete disaster.  I'm talking about the XP and field goals (or lack thereof) It was almost a factor at GW and I know at some point if the 2 pt conversions continuously fail then a 1-2 point loss is inevitable.

On a side note, in all the years I've traveled to Marion for games, the people working the gates and concessions are 1st class. One of the best places I travel and get treated great.

One thing that really scares me Friday night is the weather. 80% chance of rain. Kinda helps a team with a huge running back like Marion has.
