MW does not have 3,000 students. They have 1,460, granted that is double of union. But when Graham, Richlands, and Gate City played up those numbers were not unusual. I believe a very good SWVA team can compete with those numbers any given Friday.

I look at it as this. Some don't like the head coach for certain reasons, to each their own. But in reality we haven't stopped a soul on defense in 3 years. That's problem #1 in my eyes, if you can score 28 points you should never lose. Or if you are being gutted and make 0 adjustments on defense, why be called a defensive coordinator? With all that said, Jason in GC vs Union post stated no concessions or bathrooms open during an event that was holding 3 football games in Todays heat! Guess who's job it is to handle that? Nothing but our finest AD, hence the sarcasm in finest. There is reason he was fired by the last 2 head coaches at Gate City. The man would rather see GC fail in football just for that reason. A vindictive person as he is is a cancer to the school, just wait until Coach Vermillion or Coach Reed don't bow down to his demands. The same thing will take place as it is visually happening in football. His buddy is on the school board with him, they both need to be gone before their cash cow is dead. Sorry for the rant but OUR AD IS TRASH!

I have no clue, but it's next man up. I have seen improvement in all 3 games. Even though they all resulted in a loss, I believe the future can be bright. Need to get the bend but don't break mentality on defense

I'm right with everyone here. I just like to get a better argument on the topic with better details other than people saying this team no matter what is the best. But overall there have been great teams and athletes who have come from these small towns. It's part of the reason we are all football nuts I suppose.

96 gc had 4 D1 players, I would say they would have beat 01 Graham.

If you are comparing 2004 pv to 98 pv then my personal opinion is 98 wasn't as good as you state.

96 gc was one of the best to not win. Sometimes other than being good you have to a little luck to win it all. But in regards to the 98 pv team I was just curious. I didn't follow the lpd much.

But offensively if it was just williams as the main rb threat could they have won it all?

03 GC was very balanced, without Julius who would pv have went to.

Good observation coach Larry. Now tell us all what good and bad did the QB, the defense, the o-line, the running back, the receivers, the special teams do?

Me personally I thought we showed up and wanted to compete, but made the little mistakes that can cost you or take you out of contention. Clean that up and keep improving on what we did good we'll be fine. Sit back and ring your bell when needed

I know why you want them to win most importantly. What coaches on the same page? If your talking about the high school you are looking the wrong direction. Coach Larry was not a compliment, it was simply implying all I read from you is negative currently. They ( the team) reads this forum and as former player yourself I'm sure the week in and week out bashing of how bad this bad that wouldn't have encouraged you to put some intensity into Friday games let alone practice. We all want to win hell who doesn't it's nature. Encouragement is the first step to success
