I'm still waiting for someone to tell me the last team is to lose their final game before either the CFP seedings, or the BCS Selection, or just a bid to a regular 'ol Bowl with a possibility to win a national championship.  Until that is answered, Bama's inclusion is a sham IMO, and nothing you guys can argue or say will change that.  If you lose your last game, you don't deserve inclusion..period.  You should have to win under pressure to get in...not lose and get in anyway.

Every week should have equal importance. There should always be pressure to win whether it’s week 1 or 12, otherwise why even play. Saying they “lost the last week” is irrelevant. The entire season is supposed to have equal importance.

  2. UCF should’ve and possibly would’ve gotten in if:

They beat SMU by more than 7 points. 31-24 final.

They don’t give up 42 points to South Florida.

It doesn’t require double overtime and 62 points do beat Memphis last week. They gave up 55! Points at home to Memphis. I like the little guy, but that’s not a deserving playoff resume’.

Shut out SMU 31-0, beat USF 49-21, and beat Memphis handily 48-20 or so in regulation. That’s a much more considerable claim. You can’t play mid tier teams that close and expect to get in as a non P5 team, you have to be dominant in those games.

  3. Riverheads is not Galax, and they are definitely not Galax without Peoples. I hope Chilhowie knocks them off, but I would probably bet a large sum of money that they won’t. riverheads is good. They’re only losses are to 2A central Woodstock and the team that knocked Woodstock out of the playoffs, Robert E Lee, who we all know is in the 2A title game.

Yup that's something he will get chewed out for at the next level. In his defense though it seemed as if half the players on the field were just standing, watching in amazement. Shell shocked by Trucks run lol

Yea a few guys were just watching, but I thought he had the best shot at making a play from the position he was in. As a fan, I appreciate effort and heart a hell of a lot more than pure talent, and I didn’t see it there, other than that which Edwards showed refusing to go down.

    #3 play on sportscenter

Rewatching this I noticed something. 55 for Fairmont Senior is their stud defensive player who is going to WVU. Yet, he stood and watched Edwards bouncing off people and never attempted to get in on the play. He probably could’ve made the tackle in my opinion when Truck was bouncing back inside, but made no effort at all.

I hope if Union does fall behind 7-14 points, the wheels don't come off. Momentum and state of mind are huge. Appo knows they can win if they get down a score or two (although they haven't been down much at all, maybe same goes for them?) I hope Union can play with same confidence. The defense is good enough to get a couple stops and allow the offense to get back into a rhythm, I just hope the kids aren't in their heads.

If Union can get good movement from the OL and tackle in space, they can keep it close and win. If not, could be another long day.

If I know anything about Union it’s there ability to never count themselves out. I remember in 2014 Richlands was leading them 28-7 with about 9 minutes to go in the 4.th at home. It was 21-0 after the first quarter. union won 29-28..

Exactly! I feel confident we can stop the run, and I know we can get pressure on deep throws, but that slant happens so fast, unless you have a VERY well placed LB, Graves is gone.

You gotta double Graves and blitz all day. Scruggs is good, but rarely pressured. He won’t like it. But you gotta make someone not named graves beat you.

  8. IF Appo loses, what are the odds the fans don’t manage to somehow deem it as home cooking from the refs? (they probably will)

I see a lot of people on various boards talk about buletin board material. Based on your knowledge and probably Brady’s firsthand insider info as a player, how often do posts on a site like this end up on a locker room wall? Has it happened at Richlands and if so how often?

What are your opinions on the idea of televising local games? I remember probably 2007-2008 Richlands games used to be shown on Saturday mornings I believe on I think now a defunct local channel if I’m remembering correctly, but never live. Do you think it’s more of a benefit in regards to those that are sick, elderly, disabled, or that work too late to make it to a lot of games and get a seat? Or would it be more of a problem in that you risk folks staying home because it would be easier, especially for away games and therefore  hinder attendance.

I'm just ready to see their reaction when union still isn't at the stadium with 10 minutes til kickoff. And that entrance though..

Somebody needs to make a Facebook live from Union for this game. Appo usually does one, but I would rather see the energy of the home crowd. Or at a minimum, do a live of Unions entrance and fan reaction. Anyone game?

A little disappointed in james mitchell..

On defense when he jumped about 30 feet in the air and one handed that pass how come he didn't come down with the ball? Lol

that was one of the more impressive things I've ever seen that'll never show in the box score

A true D1 athlete would’ve gotten 31 feet up an came down with that pass, then returned it for a score while running on his hands and holding the ball with his feet?

Hope this crowing so loud don’t put to much pressure on the bears. If I’m not mistaken this Appomattox team is pretty much the same team that beat the bears last year 42-0?? And the bears had a better offense last year in my opinion.

You are mistaken. Appomattox lost there top 2 running backs and both of the kelso brothers, they were both monsters on defense and carried the ball from time to time to. And they also lost a big part of both lines.

Yeah. They said they would be dealing with the same thing next week.

I still say appo will be shaken if they get a taste of bullit. It might not lead to a union victory, but traveling in the playoffs to a place like that is something they haven’t done. Of course graham would rather win and travel next week I’m sure
