Not with Grayson winning tonight.

I just wanted to make a comment on something you all mentioned briefly. Ryan, I think you made a reference to Appomattox playing Goochland or poquoson. However, I think the state title will include a team from region B. It’s probably the deepest region in 2. You have undefeated central, Clarke, a lee team who took it to riverheads last week as well as a really dangerous luray, Stuart’s draft, and even east Rockingham looks really solid. Go look at Goochlands s hefile and find a win for them that really impresses you, because I can’t find one. They play some really weak teams and are a paper tiger in my opinion.
-
I haven’t heard it from the horses mouth(mance) but I have heard from what I would consider decent sources that Mance has told them this will be his last year. As with anything else, only Mance and a select few know for sure obviously.
-
Also, it looks like if union did lose this game they would drop to number 3 in points, putting graham at 1 and Ridgeview at 2.

I’d say impressive win. Va high has beat some good teams this year in Abingdon and battle as well as chilhowie
-
As a Richlands fan I feel a little bit more at ease about the game against va high at the end of the season, now absolutely terrified of what may transpire next week though..
-
The tornado has to win some games make the dance before anything else.
-
Extremely disfunctional radio broadcast..

The thing about this statement is, even richlands “average teams” in the recent past have kind of been a nussiance to the rest of southwest va. For example 2008, 2013, and 2014.
2013 Included a loss to lord botetour 56-6 or something yet they still made the quarterfinals that year.
2014: they lose to gate city, union, and abingdon. Yet they still make the semifinals and it took overtime for Wilson memorial to knock them off at home. And along the way they beat a 9-1 regular season Marion team in Marion and beat the same gate city team that beat them at the beginning of the season at legion(awesome game to see)
my point: whether people want to admit it or not, they don’t want to play richlands in the playoffs, especially in round one because you just never know with them.
-
This question could be completely pointless, I just know what local insight posted. If Logan Justus is in fact able to suit up come playoffs assuming richlands gets there, how much of a difference do you think he’ll make and to what extent could that improve the team overall, as in having one extra piece to work with potentially on offense and defense.
-
Seriously? Typically that type of injury with surgery takes a minimum of 4 months to heal
-
I was a senior in 2010 and to this day I still fully believe that if richlands and poquoson played 100 Times, richlands would win 99 times by at least two scores, however that isn’t how state champions are crowned and they lost heartbreakingly. That team was the total package, beat eventual 2A champs gate city 31-0 in gate city that year.
-
-
I can help ya out. Bluefield has beaten both graham and richlands, this in theory should probably cause them to be rated above them. Giles is probably almost as good as graham( lost to them in ot) so they should be fairly close. And Pulaski beat Abingdon earlier this year so they’re probably better.

Daniel Brown and Taylor horn. I think both are dealing with minor knee injuries
-
You are aware that richlands top two wide receivers didn’t play last night aren’t you?
-
I thought there would be more talk on this game. Point pleasant played the defending WV AA champions Mingo Central at the beginning of the year and only lost by 2 points and Bluefield appeared to be extremely superior by the looks of the scoreboard. I don’t know if point pleasant has any critical injuries, but based on the numbers it looks like this could be another state title contender for bluefield if they stay healthy.
-
7 holding penalties on richlands tonight.
-
Another issue is that you may end up with a couple of those districts with just one or two good teams and then others that have 3-4 perennial “powerhouses”. Then you have superior teams left out of the playoffs due to being in a reputable district compared to others in a “weak” district who get in because they are lucky enough to not have to play a tough district schedule.
