The 93 team may have been Turners best team ever. Everyone from Appalachia knows the circumstances why they lost state but I won't get in to that it still makes me sick. But they did turn around the next year and beat the same team 72-7.

The Appalachia and Gate City game in 93 was also a good one not many talk about. Appy wins on a hook and ladder late in 4th. Lots of big time players on those teams in mid 90s. Probably the best decade for talent in swva football in any decade ever.

Kind of surprised Coeburn has only 1 playoff win, they had some good teams in early to mid 90s but I guess PV was in their way and also Jonesville with only 7 since 4 of those were in 1 year.

That's what I'm trying to say but seem to be having a hard time getting thru to some. When u say someone else should be in there it doesn't mean he is terrible he just isn't right for this offense or isn't being used right.

I guess I'm coming off as bashing him and I'm not. He's a great athlete and could be used in other ways but dropping back and throwing the ball isn't one of them. It's not his fault he is apparently the only option i guess.

Not gonna get in a pissing match with you I've played and watched enough football to know when someone can play a position of not. If your related to him I'm sorry because you and 1 other person are the only 2 who think he should be starter.

3 and 12 is bad position to be in but he's not young he was a junior.

The teams in Knoxville area have larger schools so not really a fair comparison but it is amazing how Pikeville is always so good.

That's pretty bad when you tell who is getting ball in huddle. It still drives me crazy that the QB has to run to the sideline everytime to get the play. We didn't even do that when I played peanut ball, we brought the play in with a receiver.

Yeah I think they know who the ball is being thrown to when they break the huddle.

I don't think he's terrible but he throws alot into double coverage. I think he just has small hands because the ball floats on him. I do think he's a good athlete and might be a helluva receiver.

I may be wrong but I'd like to see Bunch get a shot. If that doesn't work out put a good athlete at QB and try that. It worked for us in 2017 and seems to be working well for Graham.

Your exactly right the QB position will be biggest problem next year. Travis is a great coach but he sure hasn't been able to figure out that position except 1 year with spears. Hall put up great numbers but that was the best receiving group I've ever seen in high school.

It's gonna be u guys or Graham i'd imagine. I thought for awhile Graham would win but u guys may have a chance. Graham is playing great right now but I'm sure you all will have the speed to match them so it should be a great game (if they get by Central.

I don't keep up with 1A ball but I hear everyone talking about how good riverheads is so can Appomattox even win in 1A.

Not taking anything from Appo. I've not seen them play and don't have to too know they're not winning in 4a and if Hopewell is as good as they usually are their not winning 3A either. It's a whole different ballgame playing 2A vs. 4a but they are definitely one of the favorites in 2A .

Does WV split each class into 2 divisions or do they just have 3 champions.
