  1. He's 5'11, 225. Congrats to all the players.
  2. I agree, Richlands defense played hard and they were on the field 85% of the night. Conservative play calls and mistakes inside the 10 was the downfall. Appomattox has a great ball team, good luck to all moving forward. Just wasn't meant to be.
  3. I think Union scores more than 15. Union 34 Glenvar 21
  4. Richlands 35 Appomattox 28 Abingdon 21 LB 28 Union 42 Glenvar 35 Radford 21 GW 14 Galax 21 Burton 20
  5. Richlands defense is deceiving, what they lack in size they make up for in sheer strength. Wade is just fun to watch and Holmes has a built in GPS for the football. Love watching him in the backfield. John-Luke and Blankenship, along with our Arsenal of receivers make up one of the best offenses Richlands has had in a long time. I know Appo is gonna be tough, but can't wait for Saturday
  6. Does Appomattox pass the ball more than Buckingham? Are they more of a running team or passing team?
  7. I agree, this is going to be a good game. Richlands offense has so many weapons they are difficult to contain, especially with their O-line. Richlands D gets overlooked, but Wade is a beast and Holmes is a play-maker. I think they can contain the run, and the pass game comes down to time in the pocket and pass coverage. This game comes down to Richlands offense and Appomattox defense.
  8. Sturgill had zero protection because 56 and 54 rushed at him all night. He's a great quarterback and class act, but his o-line couldn't handle Richlands defense. By the way, 80 wasn't the only one getting held. It was a good game, but the excuses need to go. Don't disrespect your team by crying about the refs, they made bad calls both ways, but with the point difference, enough said. The better team won tonight
  9. Told you Abingdon underestimated the Blues. Collins, Farris, Howie, and Blankenship came to play! Our Defense was amazing! Three sacks, 2 by #56 Holmes and one by #8 Lowe. Great game for the Blues!
  10. If Richlands wasn't winning they wouldn't be hated. The Richlands haters are the ones making excuses for Richlands winning, I find the transfer theory funny coming from a AAA school with a larger student population to gain their athletes, but what do I know? Richlands is a team, no animosity towards each other no matter how hard you people try stir the "transfer" pot. Win or lose its a special group of boys. Sounds to me like Abingdon is underestimating Richlands, please continue to do so, it would make my night
  11. The offenses are close, both are outstanding. I still think this game comes down to defense and special teams. In my opinion Richlands wins. Our DB's are way better than last year, and I would put Wade, Holmes, and Addison in my top high school defensive players in the west. Excited to see how it all plays out.
  12. I agree, Richlands special teams are dangerous. I think Richlands offense has multiple weapons, and with the front seven on Defense I predict Richlands by 10.
  13. I think Richlands Defense will make or break us in this game. I think they can win if they play up to their potential. Holmes had three sacks in under a half last night. Addison had a sack and several tackles. Richlands defense is better, but Abingdon's offense is legit. Going to be an exciting game
  14. I agree Swvafan72, Holmes, Wade, and Addison all have Allstate potential. I would put Richlands defense over any other. They have the offense to go with it. Union and Richlands are top two in the state in my opinion. All of the top five are good, but if any of them underestimate these two they will quickly regret it.
