  1. Not going to lie, I'm pulling for Abingdon to win the game for that extra bonus point and to have a share of that district championship. Don't think it will happen, but here's to hoping that Jordan can come back this week and make a difference. :)
  2. I quit voting in this thread because controversy. It's someone's opinion. Stop whining about it. I wonder if jarhead is the same guy who is apparently posting mad thoughts on Facebook that I keep hearing about because Ridgeview is #1 in the points this week? Dude, it's all going to work itself out. Calm down. Y'all take care of business these next two weeks, you'll be ahead of Ridgeview in the points regardless of what we do. We know that and we're cool with it.
  3. The best teams Grundy has played has been us in week 1 and Pikeville last week. Plus they also played the pre-Mullins injury Central team that they also lost to. Against us, the score was close, but Ridgeview had over 200 yards in penalties in that game. It was not as close as the score indicated. McNutt didn't generate very many yards in that game, but Fizer on the other hand was outstanding.
  4. Region 3D Unofficial: Staunton River 28.5 Lord Botetourt 27.25 Magna Vista 22.125 Northside 21 Abingdon 20.125 Alleghany 18.625 Cave Spring 18 Tunstall 16.875 Hidden Valley 16.25 Patrick County 14.875 Christiansburg 13.75 Note: Lord Botetourt and Northside apparently played for the second time this season on Friday night. Since this occurred, I have no idea if both games count for points or not. I figured it up as if they did. If both games do NOT count and only one does, then both of their averages will be significantly lower than what I have here.
  5. Region 1D Unofficial: Patrick Henry 19.625 Chilhowie 17.875 Grundy 17.625 Thomas Walker 16.25 Hurley 15.66667 Eastside 15.375 Castlewood 15.11111 J. I. Burton 14.375 Northwood 13.125 Honaker 12.625 Holston 11.625 Twin Valley 10.88889 Twin Springs 9.625 Rye Cove 9.375
  6. Union will beat them by at least 2 scores. Probably more. Although Abingdon broke out the short passing game in a big way Friday night and were very successful with it.
  7. You would be correct on that suspicion.
  8. So, why didn't the Jordan kid play last night? He was the one doing all the running in the Virginia High game, but didn't see him at all last night.
  9. On gameday, yes. Not so much during the week. :)
  10. You haven't added @ThePackFootball yet? ;)
  11. This is the info I gave to Ryan to use for the podcast: I actually received a message from their Twitter today as we have been exchanging DM's the whole season. Pike County Central is currently 5-4 and in a 3 way tie for 2nd in their district. So, since they will finish in a three way tie, overall record will be their tiebreaker, so they need to beat us to get at least one home playoff game or they face having to travel to the Louisville area for a first round playoff game. So they will be motivated to say the least. Ridgeview obviously needs to win to stay in the running for at least one home game in the playoffs as well. In week 2 (week 1 Virginia side), they beat Shelby Valley 35-6. The next week, we beat Shelby Valley 34-6. So, based on the mutual opponent and both teams desire and importance of winning the game, it has the look of a pretty close game. However, I can not say how much Pike Central has improved or declined over the course of the season since playing Shelby Valley, but I know for a fact that we have improved considerably since the Shelby Valley game. In the end, I am thinking it's probably a 2 score difference in favor of the Wolfpack, but hope they don't lie down after finishing up their district slate thinking this is going to be an easy one either. Prediction: Wolfpack 35, Hawks 21
  12. Unofficial power points tally in Region 2D: 1 Ridgeview 24.5 2 Union 24.25 3 Marion 23.75 4 Graham 23.375 5 Virginia High 22.625 6 Lee High 19.375 7 John Battle 19.25 8 Grayson County 17.75 9 Richlands 16.375 10 Wise Central 15.66667 11 Tazewell 15.5 12 Lebanon 15.25 13 Gate City 12.77778 I'll do 1D and 3D tomorrow. It's getting late. Lol
  13. Not sure when the last time you have been over Dante has been, but the Dickenson County side of the mountain is nothing but a huge straight stretch down into Trammel.
  14. Lol! Is that counting all sports? If so, this Friday will make 2 already. They've already made the trip for volleyball.
  15. I leave work on Friday at 5:00 and I am normally in the parking lot at Ridgeview and tailgating by 6:10- 6:15.
  16. I do it every home game. I actually live in Bristol and work in Abingdon even though I'm from Dickenson County originally. Lol. From Abingdon, you take 19 to Hansonville, turn left on Alt 58, take it to St. Paul. Turn right on 63, take 63 across Dante Mountain into Dickenson County to Fremont. Turn left on 83 in Fremont and go to the top of the mountain. Make a right up the mountain on Rose Ridge Road to the school which will be on your left at the roundabout.
  17. Crazy thing is... If Ridgeview beats Abingdon, Ridgeview could go to #1. Until the final week that is. Honaker is going to bring us down in the points that final week.
  18. Got to love bitter hatred rivalries. :)
  19. Do they call you Grapeape because you like some of that purple drank?
