With the first set of official power points usually coming out after the week 5 games, I thought I'd provide a look at what I have through week 4: Note: These are unofficial and people like VHSL Helper has been doing this a whole lot longer than I have. Well... they did play Lebanon to their credit... first real test comes this week though when they come to the Ridge. Going to be fun.

Yeah, we had some pretty bad fans tonight.... I was embarrassed to be sitting in the section over from them. :( I'm a Union fan when it doesn't involve the Pack. Tonight has made me eager to see what we could do against the rest of 2A Region D's elite. Hopefully we can get a crack at Richlands or Graham or Union again in the playoffs. I'd be all for it.

Heard this game had a wild finish very reminiscent to that John Battle vs. Fort Chiswell playoff game several years ago where an XP was blocked, but Northwood recovered and ran it in for two anyway to win.

I know, right! Certainly hurt any chance I had of winning the bet with BigWinners. Lol. But, Sproles was doing a decent job, guess they made the call to stick with the senior instead.

I don't know how Abingdon feels about them... but I am pretty sure that Gate City doesn't like Abingdon, especially when it comes to hoops season.

Yeah... losing Guage was probably the difference of being 6-4 that first year instead of 8-2 like we should've been. Reynolds was not a good QB. But boy, could he sure play defense.

Union vs. Central would be an official official rivalry though wouldn't it... country rivals? The way you Union folks talk about Letcher County Central, I would think that would be an unofficial official rivalry, since things get chippy every time you guys play.

Not sure if Ridgeview has been around long enough to answer that question, but for Haysi it had to be JI Burton. They never got along and the last couple of years of Haysi existence, it got very heated.

I was making a joke about 91... and also making said joke with the assumption that 91 is still a dirt road for a good chunk of that drive? I, personally haven't drove that road since 2000 when I dated a girl from Tazewell and would drive from work in Abingdon on Friday evening to her house.

I've talked to Ridgeview coaches who say Lee is the second best team in the district... better than Abingdon.

I recommend going across 91 to Glade Spring... why not? Take the scenic route! :D
