I seen a Tweet tonight from Brian Woodson that there were two female fans fighting on the court somewhere tonight also... on the WV side I think, that got escorted out also. Tuesday night's alright for fighting. Lol

I have updated the CMC standings in the thread... Battle's loss to Central opens up possibilities now for either Lebanon, Central or Lee (longshot) to steal the 3 seed depending on what happens the rest of the week. Girls, Central can clinch if we lose to GC tomorrow night, else, they have to beat Lebanon Friday to clinch.

Central won 58-55. Battle had a 3 at the buzzer go in and out. That's why I was asking what happened.

Rivalry game man... throw the records out the window. What happened to Battle tonight? Also, with our loss to Lee High, we have clinched last place in the conference and have a date with Union next week in the conference tournament. Yippee.

Pretty sure I posted the article from the Roanoke Times that talked about that before the season even started. Yeah, it looks like that will be the case for the forseeable future with 1A alternating between Virginia High and UVa-Wise.

Ridgeview 2017 schedule: August 11 @ Lebanon Scrimmage August 18 @ J. I. Burton Jamboree August 25 vs. Grundy September 1 @ Shelby Valley, Kentucky September 8 @ Wise Central September 15 @ Union September 22 vs. Lee High Homecoming September 29 vs. Gate City October 6 Open October 13 @ John Battle October 20 vs. Abingdon October 27 vs. Pike Central, Kentucky November 3 vs. Honaker Very happy to not see Jenkins on the schedule this season that's for sure. Would've been OK to keep Paintsville though. Anyway, Shelby Valley is at least 2A, not traditionally very strong though. Not sure what class Pike Central is or how good they've been. I know Pikeville is always tough though. And of course Abingdon is the other new addition being in the district now. Grundy now moves to the opening game and still close out with Honaker. Overall pretty pleased with the schedule all in all.

The first round regional matchups normally rotate. Southern Empire and Clinch Mountain played each other in the first round of regionals last year, so wouldn't like Clinch Mountain play River Ridge and Southern Empire would play Courthouse this season in the first round of the regionals? 1A West regionals always rotated the quarterfinal matchups like that... not sure if 2A does that or not.

Who knows at this point? I've heard like five different venues now. Salem Civic Center, Roanoke Civic Center, Roanoke College, James River and now George Wythe. Lol I don't think anyone is going to know for sure until the freaking tournament actually gets here. George Wythe, although I would LOVE that over any of the other venues mentioned, because it sure as heck is a lot closer to us here in SWVa than any of the other venues mentioned, doesn't make sense because GW is 1A for one and two, it's nowhere near the Conference 36 area, who is supposed to be the host of this year's tournament in the first place.

Also, kinda neat when the only SWVA Game talked about on WCYB tonight was this girls game.

Thank you sir. When I seen it was 61-40 with 6 minutes left, that when I made the first post above. I thought it was done by that point. I went to high school with Kory at Haysi and consider him a friend. Although tonight, he most certainly made an error in judgment by not stalling the basketball, he did get Union to the title game last year and nearly won it when it certainly wasn't expected. On the other side, Kory is now 0-8 all time vs. Ridgeview. Tonight may have hurt worse than the state title game last season.

Yep, also means the Ridgeview/Lee game next week all of a sudden has meaning as the winner in all likelihood avoids Union/GC in first round of the CMC tournament. Lol

Girls game isn't final yet, but Union is up by 21 in the 4th quarter. Not the nail in the coffin for the Lady Pack, but presents a MUST win situation for the 3 games remaining. Congratulations to coach Bostic on an impressive victory.

C'mon man! Too much pride in that. It is a rivalry after all. :)
