  1. "Shining like a diamond in a goats ass". 😂😂😂
  2. With the exception of the Bluefield game that was the best crowd all year for Graham. Good to see! It appeared Radford's game plan was to double Lester all night and make the connection between he and Allen difficult. Good play calling and execution proved we are more than Cam Allen and Lester. Reed and Booker established the run to set the tone on the opening drive. Dales, Shinault, and Justice all contributed on the receiving end. Some of those passes Cam made were very impressive. I really don't know how to put into words just how good he is. With all that being said. Regardless of the outcome this next game this Graham team for me has been very fun to watch. Where this group started at the beginning of the year and how they are playing now is remarkable. For some this will be their last week of practice and their last game together. Enjoy it! One more game. Go Graham!
  3. In sure they'll have someone inspect the field on Tuesday and say it's good to go. On Friday some delegate will get a burr under his saddle and the field will be inspected a second time. At that point we'll decide to move the game to who knows where. But I'm sure it will be the best location for all involved.
  4. If it's ok with you, we're gonna play one more week.
  5. Dang, even Dook is going against Graham.
  6. That was disappointing. Fairmont's O-line controlled the game. Pretty impressive how physical they were against Bluefield. Congrats to Bluefield on another great season.
  7. @stu_bean here's a pretty good crowd between Graham and Tazewell back in '89.Lol
  8. I wouldn't stress too much about it. The VHSL has another 24 hours to change their minds again.
  9. If those officials are wearing Muck Boots that may be a good indicator the game doesnt need to be played there. Poor VHSL, they have changed their mind more than my wife trying to decide on an outfit to wear to dinner.
  10. Compared to a couple years ago when I went to Union. This year's crowd was a good bit smaller. They still brought a lot of enthusiasm but nothing like a couple of years ago.
  11. 12th man can make a huge difference in a game. I would love to see us make a good showing Saturday. Make some noise and get behind these kids. As far as our players are concerned Graham has a great motivator to keep them going throughout the game in Mike Horton. I've said it before as quiet as our stands are you can hear Horton on the sidelines. If a person can't get motivated enough to knock someone's ________ in the dirt after hearing him then you're dead. He can really get the blood flowing. One game at a time. Let's get it Graham!
  12. I can kinda see the Graham/Beaver game being packed. Both schools use this game for class reunions and the long history of the rivalry. The following week at Tazewell and the stands being empty............I can't explain that one. I will say this Graham's band used to be rockin and rollin years ago. No offense to anyone in the band today at Graham but there are just so few of them it sounds weak at times. With low band numbers that's fewer parents and relatives that attend games. I know for those of us that come to watch the game it may be hard to see why some come for the band but there are plenty that do. @SWVAgridiron may be correct it may be a problem all over. For those fan bases that still bring it on Friday nights or Saturday afternoon good for them. It sure appeared to me Richlands smoked us this past Saturday with the crowd and their passion. On a side note the Graham and Richlands bands played together for one song at halftime. Sounded great!
  13. How do you see this game playing out? I was only able to see the Graham/Beaver game at the beginning of the season. Bluefield's only loss was to LB who is playing in the 3A semi's this weekend in Lynchburg.
  14. Good luck to Bluefield tonight. It would be really nice to see us both win it all.
  15. Graham fans used to travel well. I'm assuming the down years played a roll in the attendance. I really thought with the success that Palmer has been able to have the attendance would pick up.
  16. Chris Akers has applied for his old job back. Apparently many of the locals are lobbying for him to come back.
  17. George Wythe has a sandbox. They made an attempt at Bermuda grass but it didn't turn out at all to be honest. I will be shocked if this game gets moved to any other stadium. It's our time to step up and win another one regardless of field.
