From what I have been seeing, Richlands players and staff are loving the new program. Tests on the playbook, and schemes. If they play you're gonna see a lot of tired defenses. Mance implemented some hurry up offense, but nothing like this.
I do have one question. Saw the QBs and WRs throwing and saw a few new faces. Saw a new QB and WR who transferred in. QB was big guy and the WR had some speed. Anyone know anything?
I guess you guys were right. Ronnie Davis and Frank Daugherty are out at Richlands. Mike Compton(former Patriot)and Brandon Compton to replace. Via Richlands coach.
Thad Wells is the new Richlands High School head coach, AD, and teacher. Via. Richlands high employee. He will restaff most of the coachs. From what I hear the three staying are Davis, Daughtery, Tarter, and the rest will undergo evaluation (most likely canned).
Question: If a person takes the HC and the AD position plus teach a class, does he get paid for both the HC and AD position? I know in the past schools had both HC and AD as single positions. Just wondering??
If they're matching his coaching stipend in NC, I guess T. Palmer & J. Harris will be getting a raise. I heard the subject he wanted to teach was weightlifting ALL day & not a traditional class. That would be technically a new position. If that were to happen, I would presume, Tazewell & Graham would also add such a position. I can't imagine he'd want AD responsibilities. Heck from what I heard Ann Mance has been doing it all, I'd just let her keep it, lol since she's staying put. If they accept all his "requests" he'll be taking the helm. Which three coaches is he planning on keeping?
Not sure who he will keep, just assume Ronnie Davis will be one. Davis went with him to Virginia High years ago when he was offensive coordinator.
I’m hearing a few others will be interviewed as well. I’m certain that at least 2 staffers have applied. I would think these guys will get a look. I can’t believe that wells is a lock. He would have to move , take somewhat of a pay cut and possibly have more teaching responsibilities. I assume there will be a couple of scenarios , one of which is continuing the search if wells doesn’t get offered or accept the job . Other than wells who else is any one hearing is a strong candidate?
Wells has already been offered the position. Any other interview will be for incase he declines and for legal purposes.
From what I hear the money will be matched but he will take on more rolls than he currently is. Now he Coachs and teaches a weight lifting class before school in North Carolina. At Richlands he will coach, AD, and teach a subject. Also heard there will be coaching staff changes. He request to make his own staff with only 3 current coach's staying. That's the word on the street at Richlands high.
