Line play will be the key for Richlands in this game. They will have to get into the backfield and disrupt the Bburg flow to try and counter the Bburg speed. It will be an uphill battle all night.

Don't know about Harvey but a Tornado is definitely in the forecast for Friday. Strap on your helmet and tighten everything else its going to be a hard hitting game as usual. Passing edge goes to Union with the beast Mitchell at WR while the defensive edge goes to the Richlands front. Secondary play was a concern after the game vs GC so look for mance to have those guys working double time this week.

If Central stops the Wave running game they will roll. The QB play for Central will be too much. 42-14 Central.

Graham moves the ball and scores at ease. Trying new players in different positions during this game will not be a true test of their ability. Tazewell is young and hopefully these players will stick it out and stay together. The Tazewell coaches need to stick it out as well so those young men have a stable atmosphere. Would like to see all three county schools competing for playoff spots.

I think the feature for both teams this year will be defense. 20-17 Richlands.

For you Union fans I have a question. I have difficulty walking and I am wondering where the closest place to park would be when RHS comes to visit next week?

If Richlands controls the line it will be a long night for GC. Richlands by at least 21.

LOL don't put too much emphasis on looking at peoples numbers because in the end you might get caught looking and end up on the loosing side. many an underdog has proven this by winning a game when their number was not as good as the team they played.

LOL. Early season anticipation is running wild. I will wait and give my 2 cents worth after we see how they both look week one. With that being said I will say that the point spread will most likely be less than 6.

I don't put much stock in preseason hype or the opinion of people that are on the outside of the recruiting window looking in. I was basing my statement on the results of the performance of these kids during the year. Both Sturgill and JLA are good athletes and deserve the honors they have been given, However, it takes much more then they have shown to be a D1 player. I also agree that many on this site hype their local players and I think that is because we all think in the back of our minds that our boys are the best. That's just being a loyal rabid fan.

Please correct me if I am wrong, but it seems that most of the D1 prospect talk has been centered on athletes from schools other than Richlands. The only topic about a Richlands player has been about JLA being a walk on.

Yes gwave0333 we do have to wait. However, Richlands gets the second draft pick after the Cleveland Browns so we should get at least one good player. LOL.

Richlands does not recruit. Its not recruiting when kids see a program winning and those kids are sick of losing. Kids want to be winners and want to play at places that win, which gives these kids the best chances to play at the next level

First of all I am Big Blue Tornado fan. I have supported the team when they were 0-10 and when they were 10-0. No matter the record I give 100% support to the team because they give 100% on the field and during the hot days of practice. I have looked at some of the posts people are placing on here and some of them are way off base. Showing disrespect for other schools and their teams is just wrong. With that being said I want to share my feelings. Over the past 30 years I have missed only 19 Blue Tornado games with 8 of those coming in 2006. At the start of that season I was diagnosed with cancer and missed the first 8 games due to cancer treatments. Missing those 8 games was harder then dealing with the cancer. However, I was able to attend the last two regular season games and playoff games. I enjoyed those games more then any before and I realized that supporting those kids each Friday gave me something to look forward to, and I believe it was a major help to me in dealing with the cancer. I know some may look at this topic and think I am stupid for my views but hey that's their opinion. However, I am an adult so others opinions about me doesn't matter. What does matter is how they represent their school and community. Way too many posts are centered around bashing other schools, communities, and shamefully some of the kids that play for those schools. That type of communication is not warranted. Just think of the kids that might visit this site and read the things that are posted. They will see the disrespect shown for others and think its okay for them to do the same. I am sure people will disagree with me and that is their right. What I am trying to impress on those that use this site is this. We are all football fans. We all support our local school and community. It does not matter if we are from Richlands, Grundy, Hurley, Giles, Union or any of the other area teams in SWVA. We all need to respect each other and support all our boys when playoff season arrives. We may be rivals when we play but we should all be brothers and support the teams that make a run even if its not our boys doing so. I apologize if this offends some readers, I had to post my feelings because of all the disrespect shown to others because how we treat others will be the way our youth learns to treat others. WE ALL NEED TO REMEMBER THAT ITS NOT ABOUT US. ITS ABOUT ALL OUR BOYS FROM THIS AREA NO MATTER WHERE THEY ARE FROM AND NO MATTER IF THEY GO 0-10 OR GO UNDEFEATED. GIVING THEM 100% SUPPORT SHOULD BE OUR ONLY GOAL. Thank you for the time you took to read my rant.

Sixcat, you must not have watched any of the Big Blues games year, because Cody has not done it any pointing until Saturday's game. I have been to every game and watched the Blues, and these boys are held to higher standards then a lot of other teams hold their kids too. You need to focus on facts and not what other people tell you.
