gibson got all the reps except for the game against richlands b team. he looked pretty good for first time out. had a few timing issues that will be corrected with reps. i thought our recievers caught the ball well also

im hearing brody gibson. he was the jv qb last year and saw a few snaps in varsity games. he has a good arm and can run as well. jus needs some reps which he will get in the 7 on 7s coming up

with andy jones transferring looks like brody gibson will be the guy. thats what im hearing

i agree baseball is good in the mtn7. ive watched every union game the last 5 years. all im saying is it dont prepare them for 3a competition. mtn7 is good but abingdon hasnt lost a game since they entered the conference but they dont advance once region starts and they play schools there size. last year they had one of the best baseball teams ive seen in our area and they dominated everybody around here but it wasnt good enough to win on the 3a level. you have your opinion but the proof is in the pudding. while mtn 7 is good its still not 3a level it dont prepare them for 3a level

and vhs has won a title more recent than abingdon. when was there last state title in baseball?

they arent winning in 3a either after compiling 21 and 2 seasopns. win you 10 run rule all your oppenents playing smaller schools your not prepared for situations when the games get tight. this is my opinion and until they win somthing in 3a it wont change. you ask a question and i gave my opinion

if making state quarters is the goal then i guess they have had a good season

last year is a good example. they were a very good baseball team loaded with talent and still didnt win state. this is my opinion but playing down and 10 run ruling everybody doesent prepare them for situations were games get tight.

in my opinion no. playing in a 2a conference were they win every game doesent prepare them for 3a cometition in my opinion. it would be like union playing in the cumberland and winning a lot of 1a trophys but nothing to show for it win you have to play teams your size. they go 20 and 2 but can never win in 3a. i would hate that if i was a fan or player. they are a 3a school with a trophy case full of 2a trophys

they beat union 10-3 at battle and 8-0 at union

moore ran out of pitches due to pitch count. union battled and stayed close until he went out then as you said jumped on the relief and won the game/ union also had abingdon beat in the championship game but same thing happened to union. pitch count got us. our top 3 pitchers were unavaliable for the last 2 innings . union led 8-5 in bottom of 6th and pitching fell apart. union is playing its best baseball at the right time.

i agree with you. i dont kmow how the fca game would matter. thats just what i was told by a union coach. maybe its jus wishful thinking. union has to beat lee first or it wont matter

i dont kmow if this is correct but i was told by a union coach that union was the 3 seed based on the tie breakers. he said they go to head to head and they all split so then it goes to runs scred. union outscred gc and was even with central. he said the fact that central lost to lee in the fca tourney and if union beats lee on monday then union is the 3 and central 4 because central outscored gc. thats what i was told so i dont know if thats accurate

union lost to va high 12 0 and beat unicoi co. 6 4. they are 5 and 1 on the year. next up is gatecity on tuesday and abingdon on thursday.
