Injuries? Penalities? Just a bad night! I was not expecting this. I thought Bluefield could give them a run for their money but not runaway with it?

I had to work late. I just got on and saw this. What the heck is going on in this game?

Is Bluefield & Tazewell being streamed?

Wasn’t that the thread where someone mentioned SWD would probably end in a 3 way tie? Some of us never thought that but I think a few thought it was a real possibility. Why was it deleted? I noticed it was gone. I don’t remember any inappropriate posts.

I don’t think I technically cheated. I think I maybe tip toed around the rules. 😂😂😂 I like Ridgeview’s stadium too. I’ve only been once but it’s a nice high school campus.

We’re so used to feeding it to Clements, it was refreshing to see others step up and make it happen. We’ve got some good depth and the O Line & D Line are probably strongest in SWVA. I’m so pleased with the tenacity of those boys to step it up last night & get it done when a lot of people thought we’d struggle & maybe win in a close one. Play was on point, coaching on both sides of the ball, on point. I think our players just wore VH down. I’ve said it more than once since last night, Jones is an athlete. He can sling it and he can run it. I think not playing a tougher schedule really hurts against teams like Graham.

I’ve heard that same speculation but who knows. Everyone said Tarter wasn’t going to coach because his son was playing college ball but he’s still there. If Harris doesn’t come back, is there an assistant that would take the helm?

Super proud of the GMen tonight, players who stepped up and coaches who came up with a winning game plan. A life lesson in manning up and overcoming adversity! Great job, guys!!!

I remember a playoff game with Tazewell vs GW game in the snow with Paul Wheeler as coach at GW, maybe 84 or 85. It was freezing!

Ronnie Davis is helping down there now. I'm not sure if it's with defense or not though. I do see the potential for it not to be a cakewalk for VH.

That's a million dollar question! From an outsider's perspective, seems like that would have been a smarter move.

Hinkle finished 8th. Not bad for a freshman. I won't be surprised if he snags a state title before he graduates.

Good luck GW! GMen can certainly empathize with the QB situation. Everyone is going to have to work extra hard to compensate! Hopefully, it's a good competitive game between GW & Galax. I know GW is anxious to get Jollay back at QB.

Bluefield not having Hairston for Tazewell to worry about should at least be one plus the for defense which I truly hate for the kid. I really hate to see any athlete suffer any type of injury especially a season ending one.

I don't have a dog in the 1A Region D or C teams but a fully healthy GW might beat Grundy with no problem. It's not 100% a given and Grundy may end up in Salem over the Region C Champion. If they do, I'll cheer for them being from SWVA. But any team on any day can lose for a myriad of reasons. I just wouldn't count those chickens before they hatch.

Tazewell needs to figure out it's defense or Bluefield might pull the upset. Defense was very lacking against Richlands. They need to find the D that showed up against the Riverheads.
