I haven't attended a game in over 20 years, but as a Lee Alumn, it was always Gate City for me. Whenever we played, as an immature teenager mind you, it just seemed something always went wrong: untimely penalties, TDs called back, etc etc. Mix that with some of the most obnoxious fans that would come sit on our side! It was a cess pool of hate! Lol

Look at it from this perspective: Yes one win came in very unfortunate circumstances at Rye Cove, but last weeks win against burton was so back and forth and they DID NOT back down! This is a team that is gaining confidence, experience, and valuable football wisdom. The offensive talent is there. It will take time to build a winner, but it seems if they can continue to improve their technique on the defensive side of the ball, they will win a few more games this year.

This game is tonight at 7pm at Emory & Henry. It was scheduled after Lee and Eastside mutually agreed not to make up their postponed game. Does anybody know anything about them? I have admittedly never heard of them as they are quite a ways upstate.

How is the new coach acclimating to the players and vice versa? Is he a keeper (assuming they would keep anybody)? what kind of system is he trying to implement?

I disagree, but see your point. Turnovers had not been a problem for Lee up to this point. They had that many turnovers and yet it was still just a three point game, plus they made a game of it despite being down 21-0. This shows me they dont give up. If they dont turn the ball over I see the union game as a close game.

If you are going to troll at least get your facts straight. Lee is in the Clinch Mountain District, not the Cumberland.

Thank you everyone. When I moved in the fall of 2000, the Generals were heading down, down, down. Alot has changed since then. None of the consolidation had happened yet. Hopefully Coach Pendergraft will be there for a while, unlike the other coaches preceding him, although Terry Martin seemed like he new what he was doing.
