I went back and read the thread and one person said they thought Union would beat Graham.

I think it's better to have the girls and boys at the same place. More fans would be there and it gives people an opportunity to see some teams they aren't capable of regularly seeing. I liked last year being able to see 4 great games at wise. It was a great atmosphere and great basketball.

This thread has gotten a little ridiculous in my opinion. Hopefully, some people can put aside this drama and enjoy what I believe has the potential to be a great basketball game tonight. Depending on which Central team shows up tonight, GC better play better then they did against Lebanon or they very well could be done. Central hasn't been very consistent this season but they have been as of late. I believe GC will come out on top but I don't think it will be a blowout.

There is more at stake this time of year so I'm sure that plays more of a roll in some of these games. The players know there is no room for error so they proplay more tense then a regular season game. Throw comment opponents out the window because that doesn't play much of a factor now. Graham and GC should be playing in the region championship but they are both playing capable teams of knocking them out.

Depending on the seeding, I could see the same final four in Region D as last year. GC, Graham, Wise and Union. Central is so off and on though I wouldn't be surprised if they lost in the first round or made it to the final. If I were to bet money though I'd pick Graham and GC.

So Graham and GC can't play unless they make it to the Region championship?

Well I was way wrong about GC and Battle but I'm not complaining. GC needs to play like that from here on out to make any kind of run this postseason.

If Central was more consistent, they could be very dangerous this postseason.

I believe Battle will compete tonight. Even with Zac they kept it close. They are a scrappy team and I'll be surprised if this time around it's not a close game late in the 4th.

GC has some good momentum right now. If they can get a win tonight they'll go into the district tournament with a 4 game winning streak, which includes wins over Union, Abingdon and Ridgeview. When will the first round be played, Tuesday?

Obsess much? This a thread about teams from the East so I'm not sure as to why you would post that, at least on this thread.

GC girls with the HUGE win over Ridgeview 61-58. They are now both tied for 3rd in the M7.

GC with the big win over Abingdon sets up a nice matchup for the last game of the season between Central and Abingdon to decide the M7. If GC was to upset Ridgeview, who would own the tiebreaker there?

I think he's playing much better defense compared to the beginning of the season. There has been a few times his man has tried to drive and he was able to stay in front and force a tough shot. He's got some room to improve but he's not the liability I believe he was at the start.

This is going to be a tough Region to get out of.

Did GC beat Patrick Henry or the other way around? I noticed PH's record with 1 loss and looked and on there's it says they beat GC 72-46 but on GC's it says they beat PH 62-46.

Based off of scores I've seen, I can't see it being that close.

I'm hoping they still don't have their legs under them from the Arby's Classic. Maybe take it easy for the next couple of days would help.

I agree with that statement. GC is hands down the best team in Region D. Unfortunately, that isn't saying much this season. A bad night for GC will still probably result in a double digit win until they get out of the region. I still think Graham would give them a good game if they were to meet in the region finals.

I thought it would be a closer game but I wasn't going to be surprised if GC lost today. I just hope the team has some energy left to start playing the games that matter come Wednesday. They got another stretch of 3 games in 4 days. Union played today too so they are kinda in the same situation.
