If you look at Zac's stats this summer he still put up respectable numbers even surrounded by Power 5 talent. Obviously at GC he's 1a and Dean is 1b. QMR is definitely more dangerous off the dribble but Zac can create his shot as well. I think as long as nothing crazy happens, Radford and GC "should" see each other in the Final Four.
I don't think he was left out on purpose. Most people don't know much about Radford that post. He's definitely in the top 10 if everybody knew about all the players in the coverage area. I couldn't give you 10 players because I don't know enough names in the coverage area to give a fair top 10.
It is a super and it all starts at 3:30. I believe this will be a very close game. I hope I'm wrong but unless GC is hitting their shots and Zac is 100%, I think Science Hill wins this one. I'm sure there will be a big crowd tonight and that will play into the favor of SH. They've played way more games than GC so far up to this point as well.
They are basically the same team as last year. I wouldn't say they were competitive with the M7 last year. Battle and Abingdon swept them last season. Union came close to knocking them off in the first round of regional play even though VA High was a 1 seed. They went on to upset Ridgeview and then lost to Central. The Bearcats live and die by the three. If they go cold they are capable of losing to any team.
I believe it was GC that almost beat them last year. If I'm not mistaken they were up most of the game until the end. VHS was the 1 seed and GC was the 4 seed from the M7.
Very sad to hear this. I hate it for the young man. You never want to see this happen but unfortunately it's apart of sports. I wish him well and hope for a speedy recovery.
Every school I’ve ever been to to watch a game has those fans that just won’t shut up. Every town, every school, every state. Don’t act like GC or Wise or Clintwood or whoever is the only ones that have them. Stop putting down someone you don’t even know. All these coaches try their best to win and teach these kids the best they can. Not for a minute do I believe any coach, including McAmis, teach these kids to be dirty. Some people on this site just like to cause trouble running their mouths about someone they don’t even know.
How many fans at GC have you seen get kicked out of a game? Every fan of a school around here has some story they could tell of that happening at Wise. That's all I'm saying.
I would blame it on the parents more than the coach. It happens too often and everybody has a story they can remember from something happening with a fan at a game in Wise.
Sorry that objective facts cause you so much distress that you have to run to another board on this forum and complain about it. It’s not surprising that virtually no one outside the 24251 zip code has much positive to say about Gate City’s fans.
I don't hold Graham responsible for you. I'm sure not all of the fans from Bluefield are as arrogant and obnoxious as you are on here.
From the sound of it GC is in the first quarter and fans and both benches have already rushed the court! Wise fans trying to fight GC coaches. The announcer said not a single technical or fan was thrown out.
Abingdon actually has 7 state championships across 5 different sports, including 2 in 2017, most of which earned while competing in a higher classification than Gate City.
None of the 7 state championships were in football, which was what was referred to if I'm not mistaken.
I wouldn't put GC in the playoffs but with the right offseason program and kids buying in, GC can make an impact sooner rather than later. I'm excited and hopeful on the future of the program.
After his last 3 points he went out and didn't get back in until 2.5 seconds left in the game. That was a head scratcher to me but I'm not the coach. So far, the two biggest games for Georgetown are two of the best games he's had this season. That's a good sign for when they start playing conference games.
