Fumbles hurt, yet again, and the fact that GC has no passing game. GC had the size advantage but never could get it going on offense. Credit to Battle for keeping their composure after the two quick turnovers that put them down 14 very early in the game.

Chilhowie wins in my opinion. PH will give them a great game though. Regardless of the outcome a rematch is definitely in the coming weeks.

Tazewell let me down last week but I'm giving them one more chance. This game may be a close one. I'm going to say 30-27

I believe Lee still has more to play for and with that slither of motivation they pull off the hard fought win.

I think the score will be closer than it should be but I believe Ridgeview will come away with the victory. Home field will aide Abingdon in a big way. I'll say Ridgeview by 10-14.

I'd like to see them do it. I feel like the qb change has really helped them. Not sure why he lost the position in the first place but glad he got a second chance and seems to be taking full advantage of it.

All of ETSU's Socon wins are by 3 each game. Wins are wins and if they could get a bid into the playoffs in the new coaches first year that would be amazing.

I don't know how any GC fan could believe that with a coaching change, immediate success would be in store for the football program. I'm not sure any true fan believes that at all quite frankly. I do believe a change needs to happen just from things you hear and see on Friday nights. You hear things in a small town believe it or not. Now if all is true or not is a different story but, nonetheless, this isn't the direction a struggling program wants to keep going in. I've stated before, with the right coach it may still be another 3-4 years before GC is relevant again but I do see the potential for at least more competitiveness fairly quickly. The team, to me, lacks a lot of fundamentals and that falls directly on the HC's shoulders. There has been a drop in talent the last few years which hasn't helped AT ALL but, you still have to tip your cap to the kids that are out there trying there best to win. This program needs a lot of work that doesn't simply begin and end with a new head coach.
