Lebanon and RR playing for a spot i believe.

Burton is out according to what I'm looking at,  ph might should hang on to 1 seed,  but grundy winning plus rider gonna make it close. Hurley beating Montcalm secured them a spot. Ph, gru, rye cove,  honaker, holston, hurley, all in.  Leb VS rr for last available spot.  May not be 8 but last spot.

If Grundy wins I believe they will be the #1

I wouldn’t pretend that isn’t true. However, not one player in the world is going to be close to breaking records without having an offense that benefits them. You have to play to what your strengths are

He’s averaging 5 catches per game for his career. Ridgeview fans are throwing a fit that their best athlete is only touching the ball 5 times per game.

I’ve seen many people praise Plymal from Grundy for being one of the better area coaches. We don’t knock him when he lets Scammell carry the ball 30 times in a game do we? When Scammell broke the Buchanan County rushing record a few weeks ago I didn’t see anyone diminishing that accomplishment because they feed him the ball so much. I think everyone understands that he’s their best athlete and him touching the ball so much gives them the best chance to win.

Main point I’m making is: if you have one of the best athletes on the field you make sure he touches the ball, regardless of anything else, because that gives you the best chance to win most game. & I think most would agree with that.

People are ridiculous-a lot of times a coach’s kid is one of the best players due to the time they put in etc. Nepotism is a real thing, but people assume it 100% of the time and that just isn’t fair. The Harris boys are both tremendous athletes and would be featured at just about any school.

. The administration Knew they would not be able to have a full season. They Knew that early on, and aside from the devastating flooding, that should be reason to cancel the season. Again, my opinion only, and I stand by it.  It's also dishonest to state the players and coaches were criticized when they absolutely were not.

Pretty sure they shared the BDD title with 21 players last year-why would they have KNOWN they couldn’t have a full season this year?

Oh and I will pass along to the TV admin how a message board poster randomwordsbunchanumbers gave his thoughts and prayers and support for the flooding which therefore gives him the right to be critical.  Cheers!

So now, 8 teams or however many were left on the schedule are left scrambling and all of those fans, kids, coaches just got screwed when the CORRECT thing to do was to tap out in early August when they KNEW the circumstances would not allow a full season.  When teams make these decisions to "give it the ole college try," it's noble and we give them credit and I respect that, but these teams need to consider not just THEMSELVES, but the remaining opponents on their schedules when they make these decisions in early August.

The best argument for 8 man football is not just Team A having limited numbers/roster.  The argument that is equally valid is the teams left on Team A's schedule that are left scrambling after Team A cancels the season 2 or 3 or 4 weeks in.

A community devastated by catastrophic flooding attempts to give their kids normalcy but by all means let’s think of the poor other schools losing a game/gate.

GTFOH with that…for real. Do I hate we are losing a game? Sure, but it’s BS to criticize those kids/coaches/admin.

Flipped over to Honaker and Lebanon.  Honaker with ball and a Big no call on potential pass inference at the one yd line of Lebanon on a 3rd and 15 for Honaker.  Coach Tiller let the officials know about it.  The next play, a clear as day pass inference and defensive holding (pick em, both happened) and Lebanon got the interception.  Lebanon got away with not one, but two in a row on the redzone drive by Honaker.  Coach Tiller let em have it after that INT no call on pass interference.  Had a right to be upset imo.  Great game that looks to be decided in the final minute or two.

    The officiating tonight was….not great.

Although, just so the grapes aren’t deemed too sour, Leb could point to several bad calls as well I am sure-not a stellar night for anyone really. Both teams were sloppy and while it was an exciting game-it wasn’t really a good game.

Patterson had patiently built Holston's program back up before heading to Va. High. Be interesting to see where Holston goes in the next few years.

I think Honaker is probably better than Lebanon-but anyone who watched that game saw that Holston helped us out a lot with fumbles and mistakes. Our first TD was a badly blown coverage and they fumbled/bad snapped on probably 8-10 occasions

When it was 1s vs 1s Honaker busted one big run on Marion then was held pretty quite the rest of the night. Honaker had a running back that looked very good. The rumor going around the stands was that he was a Graham transfer not sure if there is any truth to that. Honaker offense seems to have adapted to the air raid better than Marion has the flex bone it’s still early for the canes they have some time to work out the kinks.

Honaker running back is a junior he has been there last few years he’s not from Graham

Getting by the M7!  The conference is head and shoulders above the SWD.  Hell, Ridgeview should have knocked off Central on their way to a title twice in the past 4,5 years. I watched those games and RV absolutely choked…no other way to say it.  Then throw in GC who has a title and is a great program.  Those three are top notch and all have state titles.  Union is up and coming as a program.  The talent in the conference and playing each other 2,3,4 times a year really builds those teams up.  Impressive conference.  Richlands will have to schedule tough OoC opponents to get that experience.

Lebanon has a strong girls team coming-pretty sure they beat Richlands twice in middle school last year even with the stud girl…with them coming back to the SWD Richlands will have plenty of competition between them, Marion and Va High….and none of those schools are anywhere close to Wise/GC/RV
