I think Battle will be decent, Scarbrough, Cunningham , an Denton are good at linebacker, McCloud an Rodriguez will anchor the line an Poe will keep the backs an safteys together. Just have to see how the Abingdon game goes.
-
34 at Battles press day today including JV, was told they might ask other teams to go 8 on 8 to have JV team
-
I guess we will see, the way most of you talk they have no chance at all
-
Union an Ridgeview are there Oct. 11, Battle an VHS should be there they are home town, The PH an Battle game not sure of. I think Battle will be a lot better than we think, they are young an small but we all hope for the best.
-
Abingdon will never agree to that, too many doctor an lawyer money to keep it the way it is. Besides they like to outdo the smaller schools an add to their trophy case. I dont understand how they put schools in the districts, JB, VHS, Marion, PH are very close in numbers an mileage yet are in different districts, seems like the VHSL tries their best to keep things messed up.

Sorry, did not think it was wrong to answer why I thought so.
-
I think John Battle may be better than a lot of people think they will be, I know there is a lot of things to be seen. They have a new coach but he has been around the team a while, they have a very good line returning on both sides of the ball, two very good linebackers an behind them seems decent. They have some fine wideouts that can catch the ball an a very good returning running back, the quarterback is capable of running things if he doesn't get hurt. But all this is yet to be seen but I do think they will be a team that surprise a lot of people.
-
the worst part of a good 2 way player is if he were going 1 way he could be very good, on those warm nights by the middle of the 3rd quarter they are about gassed.
-
anyone go to UVA at Wise today?

Does anyone know who runs or operates the mnt. 7, or is it a fabricated district the VHSL threw us in because they didn't know what to do with us?
-
where did you find this an when
-
anybody go to 7 on 7 at Emory today?
-
grandson plays for Battle an they are there today
-
Anyone have a ideal how long the 7 on 7 at Emory an Henry will last Thursday?
-
that's for the info, grandson plays for them an all I could get out of him is we done ok an we will get better.
-
Did Battle look any good at all at Eastside?
-
I didn't think they could talk to you till your junior year was over an GPA played a big part in a offer
-
1 was the 1st TD catch the rec. landed out of bounds (a photo shows it), 2nd was the fumble in your deep in your side of the field (sure looked like the backs knee was down before the ball came out). all I was trying to say is anything can happen, a hurt player, fumble, interception, or a bad call can change a game an when you go counting out teams before the season begins is just wrong.
-
Dont go counting those wins just yet because anything can happen. Last years game if it had not been for 2 bad calls the outcome might have been different down on Battle Hill.
-
Battles #1 an #2 batters are starting to get the hits again an the #3 an #4 batters are hitting it right at fielders, rest of the batters put the bat to the ball most of the time so they need for all them to get hot for 4 games to win out. But most people didn't give them much of a chance to get this far, but they like to surprise folk, they sure keep us on the edge of our seats (lol)
-
should be a good game between Lebanon an Battle
-
I dont think Battle will be that bad off, we lost some seniors an a head coach but I think Ricker will follow Stone an we could surprise some people.
