That is to say -- two years ago, when we plopped Radford down on the ol' sched....were we dealing with the same musical chairs problem where we just couldn't get options?? Or -- were we once again "just toughening the boys up" by scheduling way up the proverbial food chain?? In other (tl/dr) words: Did we have a much better choice two years ago, and just took them because we felt like a "challenge" -- leading directly to this hellscape of an outcome??

Browsing the TSSAA schedules again, I notice Hampton appears to have a September 1st road date available. The saga continues.

We got a Week 2 home opener that needs filling, I think -- so let's get it!! One point of confirmation: According to TSSAA schedules, we'll be at the Stone Castle on September 29th, which is the former Lebanon weekend -- making Tennessee High the de facto replacement for Lebanon's return to the Southwest, and their need to jettison teams in order to make a full district schedule happen. I'm pretty confident Radford's the other. Thomas Walker was supposedly scheduled...but apparently backed out, with GC's blessing. So if Tazewell is willing to get on it, and needs a road date for September 1, don't see why we shouldn't grab it.
