This is the one thing that really really makes me scratch my head. Like dude's the 4th Highest Rated Recruit to ever walk thru the doors at Toledo and they wont even give him a shot to run the ball??? In the MAC i feel like he is very very Capable of running the ball in that league. You dont have the numbers he's put up and not be able to play RB at the next level imo. Havoc no doubt happy that they got that ESPN slot we will get to see in some MACtion. I will say tho he could have a longer future at Db especially if he wants to play in the League
Yeah its its Official. Covid hurt his recruitment pretty heavy as well as having no film this fall has hurt. With this being a free year for all FBS and FCS Teams its made free Scholarships VERY Limited. Happy he has a place to call home at the end of the day even tho is not a P5 home like his talents project imo
I will say this Covid & the Free Year that the NCAA gave out to all players has hurt his recruitment and the number of Scholarships available. I'm pretty sure he just put the Top5 out because he said he would. He planned on committing to 1 of those 2 teams that had officially offered.
So I plan on crossing state lines and taking advantage of getting to watch 2 football seasons this school year. What are some of the must see/good games this year or any players that are must see?
This week (9/4) I plan on going to Bristol Municipal Stadium to watch David Crockett take on Tennessee High. Idk if this will be a good game or not but ive wanted to go see a game at the Stone Castle for awhile and this Friday is the day.
If KY opens up and stays open I plan on going to watch Belfry @ Pikeville on 9/18, and maybe Belfry @ Johnson Central on 10/30
Definitely gotta see the Stone Castle its pretty dang cool. Plus you will get to see Jayden Keller and Prince Kollie and DC OL/DL Tony Davis. Definitely should catch DB when they play someone from down towards Knox that will be some good football. You have to go watch Elizabethton they have to most Talent outta any team in the area. I'd probably go catch them playing Boone or Greeneville
Prince is a VERY SPECIAL talent!!!! Beem coaching him since he 1st got to the US when he was 6 family came over from Liberia. If you get the chance drive down to Jonesborough if they have a season it's well worth it. This is the most TALENT the Tri Cities and SWVA have put out in a LONG While. Tri Cities has about 3 or 4 guys who will sign D1
This article just dropped about 10 or 15 minutes ago. Looking like Athletes may look else where for better playing opportunities this football season. You have to do what's best for yourself it's a Business Decision especially when Scholarships are on the line.
I'm glad some are putting their futures first but it's a shame alot are having their Senior year football season's ripped from them. Those are some of the best time and memories that last a life time. I can see those D1 guys and kids that are on the verge of getting that D2 or D1 offer moving to where they can play their Senior season an get game tape for coaches to see. Another option I'd use if I was in the situation relclass to 2022 and get a extra year of prep football which help increase your chances of getting offers
What do you all think about all the D1 TALENT in the SWVA area right now? I'm not from here but I feel like this is best collective group of athletes the area has produced in a long time.
You Got Martin Lucas committed to ASU Trenton Adkins will be playing P5 ball as well. Josh Herndon holds 1 or 2 D1 offers I can see him playing at the FCS FBS level easily. Then you have 2022 guys. Brody Meadows is a Top 100 Recruit in the Nation along with Zay Bradshaw who picking up P5 Offers as well. Sage Webb picked up his 1st offer from Morgan St I think this week or last. He got invited to the ESPN 300 ELITE Underclassmen Combine hes gonna really make a name out there. 6 guys from the area should be playing on TV on Saturdays so far and there could be a few more. That's not including all the talent Bluefield put out last year.
Just picked up his 11th Offer from Purdue last night. He is in West Lafayette to Meet with Staff/Team last night & catching the Rivalry game vs Indiana today
If Adkins goes to Ohio St, I will be watching the Buckeyes regularily, and I'm no Buckeye fan. I just wish Tech would stop beating around the bush and offer. I don't know if he like Tech, but I would like to see him there. This kid is a freaking stud. I think he can play anywhere.
I kid you not I heard VT wanted to offer him a PWO because they already had to many RBs 😂🤣😂 Crazy huh??? I think he is pretty high up on OSU RB Recruiting Board and they seemed to show him heavy interest. Which is always great when a Program like that is showing you love.
I think it depends on if Central finds a way to contain Adkins. He’s obviously Ridgeview’s biggest weapon. Does Ridgeview have any other substantial weapons if Adkins gets locked down? If Central can hand a team like Richlands a loss, I feel like they could surprise any other team still left. I’m no expert but I say it will be a close one.
I'm playing off Adkins because they are going to be keying heavy on him. I'm doing a good bit of fakes to Adkins let Phillip's keep it out the back door. He has Major Speed & should see some running room on the fakes also direct snaping to Phillips and let him run behind Adkins and Sproles. Gotta let him throw the ball enough to keep the D honest and Thinking. They could even throw Hill in the backfield with Adkins and Phillips for a wrinkle. Also I'm putting Adkins in the Slot to switch it up and let him go to work. He could be a Huge Threat in the Pass Game split out like that.
Is the Ridgeview coach known to be a good game manager and quick to adjust schemes if a team is committed to stopping Atkins ? I always wondered after the loss last year to Richlands and after watching Richlands last year I did not think the game would even be close..
No they dont make many quick adjustments that I've seen. Didnt make them against Richlands especially on D and Union this year they adjusted after half but it was to late.
Its unfortunate that Crockett fell apart the last 3 games of the Season. They went from the 1 Seed to the 3 Seed in a matter of 3 games. Would of been hosting atleast 2 Homes games now have to go to Knoxville 1st Round. Greeneville and Elizabethton have the Best shots at Making it to Cookeville. They will be seeing each other again in the 2nd or 3rd Round

I didn't think that Adkins showed out towards the end of the game...If anything he might have been fired up... over getting ( game tackled by 3or4 players at a time, that happened alot)...just my 2 cents..

Yeah he plays like the Waterboy sometimes hahaha. I seen scrimmage against Elizabethton he about blew a gasket there lol. I've heard he was just a little crazy from multiple people lol. If Adkins acted out like that of would be different to me
So I'm just wondering how throwing you hands up and getting frustrated because you've been getting blown up in the backfield up like makes you a bad person or something???? If you asked someone that actually knew him they would probably tell you he is very humble and a great kid. Its football it happens every Friday night any where you go you will see someone showing frustration. What about how #44 for Union acts out there on the field at times???

If you go back and see if the QB would of been able to to lead it probably would have been 6. He was running behind the DB by 3 or more steps. It was underthrown went up over 2 guys (From what I remember) then almost was able to break it for a Merical

Again I’m not saying is isn’t good. I’m saying if it’s based off M7 competition only then Polier wins hands down DPOY. They all play the same M7 teams so the winner should be the one who beat the other. If they want to take the other games into consideration then you can’t compare a team like Graham and Richlands to Honaker and Shelby Valley. Polier preformed very well against those as well. Heck Tiny Tim would have a monster night against Honaker. Gotta compare apples to apples. As far as Adkins goes he is good but again look at the level of competition. He had 1400 yards against sub par teams. Ridgeview has not played any REAL competition until last night. They way I see it looking at Ridgeview remaining schedule, he will have 2 opportunities left to rack up his yards and that’s next week and last game of regular season.
Regardless of Competition who's putting up those numbers if they play the same exact schedule?????
