Galax has a hell of a schedule and will lucky to be 2-3 after the first five. We can pat ourselves on the back for playing for state championships several years in a row and I'm not saying we will be back there this year but we've had one hell of a run and I'm damn proud of what Galax has accomplished. Who is your team and what have they done lately?
You're correct sir, they rarely show much in a scrimmage so I was surprised that they even scored on Ridgeview. With that being said Ridgeview also showed them that they have plenty to work on if they want to make another run.
Walked the dog on Galax? Was only up 7 nothing at the half and won 28-0 with one of the scores coming from a blocked punt from a kid who had never punted in a game before. We may have different ideas on what walking the dog on someone is.
They scored 6 on Galax starting defense, had the opening kickoff return for a TD and scored on TD on the JV. Holston is a good team but the weaker schedule hurt them in my opinion, region D must of been down more than I thought.
Galax's offense has been struggling as of late, mix that with a very good Holston defense and they definitely aren't putting up that many points but I hope I'm wrong and they get things going again offensively this week.
Galax has been very solid on defense but the offense has been a little off the last couple of weeks, the QB was off on Saturday but he is good and i think he'll bounce back and have a good game this week. When Galax wasn't hurting themselves with mistakes they moved the ball pretty well against the much bigger PM team. Galax won't see the size again this week but I'd say much faster players so we need to out physical them at the point of attack. This will be the best defense Galax has seen in a while so they have to clean things up and play up to their capabilities. With all that being said I do believe this will be the best defense Holston has seen this year and the most physical team they have faced. I'm looking for tough game for both teams and I'm hoping Galax can get the win.
Thoughts on this match-up? PM has the best self proclaimed O and D line in 1A I'm told according to an interview with one their players. I do believe they are good up front on both sides of the ball but they will be the best O and D line Galax has seen this year or the biggest I don't believe. I think Galax can match PM's physicality and hurt them some with their speed. Galax better be ready to gang tackle those big backs and hit them hard all night. I think Galax will have one of the best defenses PM has seen since they started their win streak. This will not be a cake walk for Galax but I think they find a way to win.
