This Virginia High team is young, and much better than they showed in the Wise tournament. Three of their losses have come against TN High and DB. They've beat Abingdon twice. In the SWD they've beat Graham and Marion, steamrolling both. I wouldn't base their team on one tournament game that they played poorly in and lost by 2.

True, but it sounds like Abingdon should also practice what it preaches. For a school that's been all about sportsmanship, I didn't see a lot of it on display including from AHS fans. I wonder what the fan said to initiate the assistant coach's response. Knowing most of the VHS coaches I doubt it was a coach randomly yelling at a fan without justification. I also wonder what obsenitites were coming from the falcon student section. I doubt they were saying nice things to the Bearcats all night. Its okay to point fingers but usually they end up pointing back in your direction.

Im going with Union. I'd love to see an upset but don't think it will happen. Union 35 VHS 14

I had heard Abingdon as a possibility. There was even a rumor of him becoming a bearcat a while back. With Graham being a talented freshman, VHS is set at QB for a few years.

Could Reece transfer from Lebanon? It's been a consistent rumor.

Im not sure Lebanon will be able to contain Virginia Highs speed, but we will see. Should be a great game to watch.

What does that say about Ridgeview and Graham who struggled with VA High? What does say about Union who barely beat Ridgeview? At the end of the day scores mean very little, wins mean everything. So Richlands played well. Virginia High could have easily won by 3 tds, but as I said earlier a win is a win. Virginia High is a young team, and they play very inconsistently, but when they have flashes they look good. If Union plays Radford, I guarantee they will have their hands full. I'd give Radford the edge they are the real deal and so is Union.

The question here isn't whether this is going to a Bearcats win or not, but by how early this one is over, and if the Cats can put up 60. Im saying it's over in the 1st 10 minutes and the Bearcats win 60 to 7.

Virginia High Unfortunately looks as bad as their record. At this point they will beat Jenkins and that's it.

Pioneers lost a tough one to Rural Retreat 34 to 14. I expected a much closer game or a win by the Pioneers in this one.

Can the Bearcats get back on track? Or will Richlands break through and get their 1st win. Im going with the Bearcats 35 to 14 over Richlands Virginia High's next 4 games are winnable with Richlands, Jenkins, Lebanon and Marion on the schedule. I expect Virginia High to finish the season strong with either winning the next 4 or winning 3 of the 4.

Virginia high played well defenively in both games. Virginia Highs offense was considerably better in the Graham game. I'm sorry but even if they had off games, they should still win by 3 plus tds. I feel that VHS is considerably better than their record.

This one could go either way. Virginia High is much better than their record indicates. Based on line play and an extra week to prepare id go with Virginia High. Tazewell has the talent to make it hard though. The Bearcats need this one. Virginia high 28 Tazewell 21

Yeah he quit, but I don't think anyone was shocked. Deon will be just fine in the starting position. He just needs to stay healthy.

Virginia High gave that game away week 1. Virginia High had a lead most of the game. Not the same VHS team right now. Sorry but Virginia High will also out coach Lebanon. Lebanon's coaching is suspect at times. Virginia will blitz Reece and have him running. I don't think Lebanon's line will be able to hold up.

I don't think LHS has the athletes to stop VA High. They just played Graham close, along with Ridgeview. With VA Highs new QB who can pass and speedster K Smith, the Bearcats will roll. Virginia High will control the line of scrimmage on both sides.

Virginia is now 1-4, but they are arguably better than their record. They've lost to PH(should have won that one), Radford (49 to 3) Ridgeview 16 to 0( they've killed everyone else) and Graham 21 to 14. I know Graham isn't as good as they were last year, but they are a still one of the better teams. So Virginia high has lost to teams with a combined 18-2 record. With a better passing game and a much easier back end of the schedule, Virginia High may go on a run. I feel like the Bearcats may still finish 5-5 or 6-4.

The regular starter and senior quit this week. So he's done amazing.

He should have been the starter to begin with. VHS is a different team with a passing attack.

The new QB is going to be a stud.

They will be decent in basketball...maybe.

Lebanon's issue comes down to administration hiring from within during the last couple coaching searches. They needed to hire someone from the outside. They had the candidates but chose not to. So they are reaping what they sowed. Nothing against the last 2 coaches. Both are good guys, but they needed to hire someone with a proven track record. Lebanon is going to continue to lose until the coaching is fixed. From the looks, im saying they finish 1-9, maybe 2-8. They will beat Castlewood.

Most likely they were to a point. Moat teams don't play their starters the full time in jamboree and scrimmages. I also doubt they showed their entire playbook. I wish people would stop taking benefit games, scrimmages, and Jamborees so seriously. They have little baring on the regular season.
