  1. They have beat them twice in a matter of 2 weeks, by a combined score of 11 to 6. Lebanon wins 3 to 1 and 8 to 5 over Abingdon. Lebanon is definitely the best team in SWVA and possibly the best in 1A.
  2. I am pretty sure they don't. If Lebanon was in 2 D this year that would be an insane final. Might have to wait until next year for that one. Lebanon is going to be pretty loaded for a while. They most definitely one of the front runners for the 1 A state championship this year.
  3. Lebanon is hungry this season, and that makes them scary. The end of last season left them with a bad taste in their mouths. They knew they dropped the ball. They could be the best team in 1A this season. They definitely are going to contend for a state title.
  4. Lebanon has had a good start without hitting the ball consistently. When their bats wake up, 1A better be on notice. One game at a time Pioneers. The Lebanon and Abingdon game will be a good one. Wouldn't be surprised if it goes either way. A Lebanon win would be a huge confidence booster before district play begins.
  5. I had heard that too. I don't think Crockett is a good 4A team in Tennessee. I think they won 8 games last season. It's still good experience. Tennessee High and Abingdon will be interesting. I think they've got Richlands and Virginia High schedulesd early on too.
  6. Thats definitely a confidence booster. I can't wait to see how they do against Abingdon and Tennessee High. Beating either of those teams would be very huge early in the season. Regardless they will be one of the top teams in 1A this season.
  7. Lebanon looks to be loaded again, roughly returning everyone from last season. Coaching wise they won't miss a beat. Their new head coach has been an assistant for a few seasons now. They definitely should be the best team in the SWD and quite possibly the Region. They may look like they are struggling out of the gate due to games against Tennessee High and Abingdon. I look for them to contend if not win it all 1A when everything is said and done.
  8. Congratulations to the Pioneers on winning the tournament! This team is setting up for a special season if they can avoid injuries and continue to get better. What is impressive to me, is that this team has 3 seniors that provide leadership, but it's best players are mostly juniors and sophmores with an exception to Reece who is a Freshman. This team is only going to improve. They will be a tough team over the next couple of seasons.
  9. Thanks for the info, I'm not sure how I would ever survive without you! Some of us stay too busy with work to read every thread or post. Again they are the favorites to win again, so I stand by what I said. If you don't like it oh well.
  10. So teachers and coaches can't have lives outside of school, which includes a smart usage of social media ??? It's simple don't add students to your social media and don't make your Facebook or snap public, and in the case a student tracks you down, don't add them or correspond with them, problem solved.
  11. Central just picked up the Looney girl from Grundy. They just keep getting deeper. It's their State Championship to lose.
  12. Congrats Grundy on a good game plan and win. You earned it. Congrats to Lebanon on a good season.
  13. I do know the flu is going around the schools in the area. Students and school staff are getting sick, but so far, I dont think there is an immediate threat of a shut down. Have some teams already been impacted by the flu, most likely. I think currently it's Flu A, covid, RSV, and strep that are the culprits locally.
  14. I think this one will be close. Honaker had Grundy on the ropes, and had Lowe not got hurt who knows how that outcome would have changed. I think Lebanon is finally figuring out how to win games. Their passing attack is going to be a tough out for Grundy to stop. Lebanon will have a difficult time stopping Grundys run game as well. This one could likely come down to which team makes less mistakes. Most of the season I probably would have picked Grundy, but I'm going with Lebanon, even if my brain says they will have to play a perfect game to do it. Lebanon 48 Grundy 42
  15. Still doubt it's validity with his dad on the coaching staff, but what do I know? Reminds me of the invalid rumor that O'Quinn was leaving Ridgeview this past summer. Wishful thinking I'd say.
  16. Definitely not heard this rumor, I Definitely question its validity.
  17. 53 seconds left Lebanon 51 Twin Springs 49 0 timeouts left for TS Lebanon takes knee and advances Congratulations Pioneers Congratulations also to Lebanons boys cross country team for winning the 1A state championship today!
  18. The step up hurts but success on the field helps. Kids are interested now, and Lebanon has been working for quite sometime to improve numbers. It started with revamping the youth league to make it more competitive. The head coach is also well loved by the students and community. I don't expect Lebanon to compete with your Grahams anytime soon, but I do expect them to field a competitive team year in and year out. They've also got a lot of very young talent that is only going to improve. They have 15 seniors but are playing quite a few Freshman and Sophmores as well. If Lebanon can keep its numbers up then it will be ok.
  19. I know it was only a scrimmage but Lebanon contained Horne. Both teams have im sure improved since. I still don't think Twin Springs will be able to handle Lebanon's overall speed and passing attack. Lebanon is also very battle tested with a tough district schedule and non district schedule. They played Gate City tough and should have beat Holston, but didn't make the plays they normally do. Who knows through we will see when they play.
  20. They are fun to watch for sure. The only teams that have really shut them down all year was Va High and somewhat Patrick Henry. Lebanon moved the ball on PH but couldn't stop them. Lebanon also had success against a strong Gate City team, but maybe got too conservative in the 2nd half in play calling. Which may have been weather related. The one thing I have noticed is they struggle against power running teams who are physical and don't adjust quick enough during the game. That being said the coaching staff and players have done a good job overall in my opinion, winning 4 more games and making the playoffs. I predicted a 6 win season and was right. There will be a drop off next season im afraid due to losing 15 seniors and moving to the southwest, however I still think they will manage 4 wins or so. Their offense should still be potent due to the passing attack that will only improve due to current youth.
  21. Im going with Lebanon over Twin Springs. Lebanon's passing attack and speed are going to be the difference in this one.
  22. I know Twin Springs is the higher seed in this one, but I feel like Lebanon can win this one. I think Lebanon's passing game will give the titans fits. These two teams ayed back in the pre season and ended in a Lebanon win. I know that doesn't mean much now. In that game Twin Springs had issues stopping Lebanon's passing attack. This should be a fun one. Lebanon 35 Twin Springs 28
  23. I actually think Lebanon's matchup with Twin Springs is a good match up for Lebanon. I definitely wouldn't be shocked to to see a Lebanon win.
