obvious you are a young person and do not know very many sayings. it means everyone gets lucky now and then.

i bet rhs loves playing the waiting game with the falcons. always wait till next year, next year comes and guess what same thing a loss. and before you say anything at least ghs has won a game in the past several years of bad teams for ghs against rhs. and has won many against rhs over the years, so wait till next year maybe in 20 years you will win one. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut now and then.

guess gate city was looking for better competition than the falcons could give them.

i remember times when bhs did not have 10 games on their schedule because of teams not wanting to play them or travel time. districts aleviate that problem. even now look how far bhs travels to play the north carolina team. if you had districts you would at least have definite teams on your schedule. Also this makes it easier to find fewer non district teams. so i will take the va system over wva system anyday.

graham can win this one if they cut down on penalties and turnovers. they can have a good running game without the turnovers and penalties.

then why not drive the short distance to have watched him when graham played at grundy.

then difficult to say best coach in swva that you saw unless you were willing to go see one of the best around the state i myself even now drive 3 and a half hours to watch this new graham coach and team because they in time will be just like a carlock coached team.

so you leave him off the list just because he lost his last game. wonder how many coaches on the list lost games also. i thought it was to look at the overall record of a coach not just the last game.

prob because a lot of the posters have never see a carlock team play before is why. with the post being top ten coaches you have seen understandable with many young people.

the entire thread is just conjecture, we can say that in any given season a team could have won a state title in another division but we will never know because in the end they did not play in single a the past years. i think it is time to stop this thread, it has run its course.

It has already been said here but i will repeat it. This is not the same graham team that you played last year, (1) they are more physical (2) they are better at staying with their lanes and assignments on defense and offense. (3) they are a little bit bigger and a lot stronger. (4) their running game is a lot better. (5) second year under this system and over the summer more kids in the weight room. and finally they are playing as a team now. all this means is that they are a better team than even last year, does it mean a win, no but it does not mean they will roll over for rhs, They will be ready and they will hit. If they hold onto the ball and cut down on the penalties they will be in the game. One more thing they will be there in the 4th quarter hitting just as hard as in the first, They are in much better shape this year. They will be competing with richlands and stand a good chance of winning.

Would be nice if it rivaled the numbers for the graham beaver game.

Totally agree and as i said i chose to ignore the one on here from now on and talk football with what little knowledge i have being that i am 8 years removed from the blfd va area now but i try to keep up via friends here and family.

Agree the points for a win over rhs would be great for graham, but ultimately winning the med is their goal and i think they will be more competitive in the med this year than last.
