  1. Missed one against Abingdon, not sure beyond that
  2. OK thanks, I thought maybe that was it, but wasn't sure. I remember someone from Graham returning one like 107 yards long ago.
  3. Cooke's interception in the end zone on the last play of the half there, why was the play blown dead? I was there and thought I missed something. I thought he could have returned it all the way back.

  5. Roster/team pic out showing 41. Is that kid wearing #3 the one who played LB for Bluefield? http://grahamhighathletics.com/football
  6. Even starting Monday, they will still have time to get in all their practices.
  7. from this 2001 story, it was 44 yards "When Graham won the state title in 1995, Carlock said the team threw four times in 14 games for 44 yards." https://virginiapreps.n.rivals.com/news/preview-graham-g-men To be clear, they attempted 21 passes with 4 completed http://www.heraldcourier.com/sports/carlock-s-legend-lives-on-through-those-who-played-for/article_8188ba90-68bf-11e5-a6e2-07e16595ade8.html
  8. The '95 Graham team that won the state championship just did not pass the ball. I had the news article somewhere on it, thinking it was under 50 yards passing for the entire season (14 games). Maybe someone else remembers.
  9. From what I understand, Graham only led 33-32 at half, then outscored Grundy 54 to 19 in the 2nd half.
  10. Who can spot the error here? I bet futbolking can.
  11. Graham collects 'ugly' win to open seasonBy GEORGE THWAITES, Bluefield Daily Telegraph | Posted: Tuesday, December 8, 2015 11:21 pm PEARISBURG, Va. —Tuesday’s season opener for the Graham boys basketball team at Giles was a mixed bag. There was some good. There was some bad. And there was a whole lot of ugly. The G-Men absorbed a 31-point scoring night from Spartans guard Ryan Beidleman and went on to collect a 70-60 victory in a foul-filled game. Graham (1-0) began its season without returning scoring leader Roman Workman, who was sitting out a game due to getting ejected late in the G-Men’s playoff loss at Union. Sophomore Emil Curto ended up leading Graham with 19 points. “He was filling in (for Workman) and made the most of his opportunity. He did a really great job tonight, for a sophomore. He was a really calming influence out there,†said G-Men head coach Glynn Carlock, Jr., who got 13 points from Nick Morgan. Beidleman, who electrified the home crowd with a 3-pointer that put Giles ahead 55-54 with 3:50 remaining in the game, had his second big outing of the night. “He’s gotten some confidence from football and he’s really starting to come along. I thought all our guys came on tonight,†said Giles head coach Seth Davis, whose team saw the lead slip away for good on a bucket by Thomas Clarke with three minutes remaining in the game. The Spartans (1-1) got nine points from guard Tyler Canaday, including a trifecta that started Giles’ last bid to overtake the G-Men. The bad was Graham’s showing on the free throw line: 17-for-41. Giles went 16-for 29 on the charity stripe. The ugly was the whistles that led to all the errant shooting. Neither team seemed to be able to figure out what the officiating crew wanted — and paid the price “Firstly, it’s a credit to a Giles team that is a lot better than they have been in recent years. They pushed us to our limit tonight,†said Carlock, who received a technical foul at 3:06 in the third period for disputing a call. “Next, I felt like there was some severe inconsistency in the officiating. All we ask is that there is some consistency,†Carlock said. “I don’t believe that either Seth or myself could get any kind of consistency so that we could teach our players what to do or not to do.†Despite the apparent unevenness of some of the calls, there was at least one useful lesson Davis gleaned from the game. “We’re going to have to learn how to defend without fouling. That has got to be our first priority,†said Davis, who had three players foul out. “We’re putting other teams on the line and we’re having to sit because we can’t play defense with our feet. We’re playing too much with our hands.†Graham plays crosstown rival Bluefield at home on Friday. “Workman is the glue that keeps our team together and we’re looking forward to getting him back in the friendly confines of home against a big rival,†said Carlock. “We know what to expect from these guys. They’re going to pressure you.†GRAHAM (1-0) Cooper 2 0-4 6, Morgan 3 7-12 13, Cooke 1 0-0 2, Jones 0 2-2 2, Clarke 3 3-4 8, Emil Curto 6 4-5 18, Allen 1 1-2 5, Martin 1 0-9 8, Miller 1 0-0 2, Dalton 3 0-3 6. 12. From what I understand, he won't be playing basketball.
  13. WDBJ did the same, called Cousin, D.J. Hagerman
  14. Did forget Tazewell tacked on a TD with 56 sec. left in the game ahead 38-15 last year instead of taking a knee?
  15. Graham was on the other end of that against Tazewell last year.
  16. Lack of interest really shows, they have less than 30 players, I believe.
  17. O'Neil said 2 years if it gets done, pointing out that it's not official yet. Plus Grayson would join too.
  18. Graham scores again after another Grayson fumble 45-7. 3q
  19. Graham 38-7. Returned 2 fumbles for TDs in the 3rd q
