I never thought I’d ever watch a football game at a venue worse than Richlands...... but now I have.  

I’m hearing different reports. I understand GARS is covering it, but I’m hearing they won’t be doing live play by play.  Anybody have the facts on if it will be available online?

When was the last time a local team with that much D1 talent started the season 0-1?

Gonna be interesting when Mercer county doesn’t want it and Bluefield Virginia takes it on.  Awful new turf to rip up and change to cardinal red and gold. I would be surprised if the Mercer county decision makers go this route. To their credit, they seem to be more academically, than athletically inclined.

Graham's offense is the defense making you punt the ball to Cooke.

But I recall a play several years ago at that same exact location.  I knew we'd pay for that one day.

Wow.  I watched the replay several times and I thought he fumbled with the knee 2" off the ground.  I heard from several that were watching online that agreed.

45-35 Graham.  Kick returns and Graham shooting themselves in the foot on offense keeps it this close.

Hard to believe that Richlands can graduate the 4 players that had the "wow" factor and replace it.  This year is more about physical play for them.  Look for them to know what they have and adjust accordingly.   

Appomattox is on the roll Gretna had years ago.  It will pass, but right now 2A belongs to them.

Maybe a Bluefield fan will give an accurate account of the whole scene after the "Miracle at Mitchell" a few years back.

Only thing I can think of right now was when Touchdown Tommy Edwards (Radford) discus tossed Todd King (Graham) down the field by his face mask.

Richlands is the one place I absolutely will not watch a game.  Visitor's side is indeed horrible.

Summer doldrums so I throw this out.  What happens first, UVA beats VT, or Richlands looses to a Tazewell County foe?

Where is truck?

The Beavs have won at least one state title in each of the last 6 decades.  Does this decade get by them?

As a lifelong, but recently relocated, Tazewell County resident, my perspective is a little different than that of most of you. Tradition and nostalgia have their places, but it's not in the planning of the economic course of a county. Enrollments will likely to continue to decline and budgets will become tighter. Programs and opportunities will be cut. The taxpayers (and I was one that payed plenty) should demand consolidation.

And they get to remain the best team west of I77. Still no rings for that though.

After the last 10 years, this has become insanely redundant. A school pulls quality players from other teams in the area and guess what? Get ready.... They beat the other schools in the area. Raise your hands if you are surprised. The thing is this has not translated into success for the ultimate goal. Feelings are hurt, people make fools of themselves arguing the points, and so on, but no trophies come home. I for one vote we create a "West of I77 Championship" in order to legitimize the issue. Meanwhile, the Appomattox's of the state will continue to await your all stars each December.

Wow. You guys are so close to staying on the high ground on this issue, but continue to slip just a little off the path. I'm actually disappointed it was appealed. What if it had been overturned? What would it have served? What would have been the message going beyond Saturday? I'm glad someone's level headednesss prevailed.

At this point it's probably just best to do what you do and not tinker much.

Just arrived in town for the game. I'd like to ask a question of the Graham faithful. Was Martinsville the best team Graham has played this year? Fastest? Biggest?
