  1. I have expected Lee to break out for the last 3 or 4 years.....IMHO they cant make a legit run at GC in the CMD and would have to be considered the underdog vs Lebanon and VHS I am interested in how they fair vs Union in 2 weeks
  2. So out of the 20 transfers Eastside is getting 8 play football that is a oddly high %
  3. Strange I kept hearing that Castlewood was picking up 100+ kids from St Paul
  4. I heard that Union has a BIG Softmore QB that may give Huff a run for the starting QB position
  5. Honistly I did not think eaither had a very good line last season (This seaon may be a 180 IDK) I do look for Union to be tough this season but I think Clintwood and Burton will hold there own (for the next few years at least)
  6. I think Union should have a TOUGH backfield......not sure how the Line or QB will be .....IMHO IF Union with 70+ kids out stick to a 3 yards and a clod of dust offence they will help out teams with less depth by shorting the games. That being said you have to play to your strengths so pros and cons to everything
  7. Clintwood is returning most of there starters but will have a few big holes to fill plus they will not be as strong depth wise Clintwood returns there FB and Tailback from last season as well as a QB that saw alot of playing time last season as well as a starting WR and 2 others that saw good PT last season...On the line They return 3 Starters (But one of them was a 4 year starter so HUGE lose IMHO) Another loss is at TE vacated by another 4 year starter but the kid that will probably step into that spot had alot of PT last season as well as a coupple of starts On D it is about the same with the biggist loss is to the team depth (Although Vanover will be hard to replace at LB and Meade was as good a shutdown corner as we have had at Clintwood)
  8. Then you put TS,RC and TW on an island If we try to keep county schools together BDD = Grundy, TV, Hurley, Councel, Richlands, Tazwell CMD = Honaker, Lebanon, Castlewood, VHS, JB LPD = DC, EastSide, Central, Union, JIB CD = GC, Lee, TW, RC, TS
  9. Of course i used to hear Graham would never drop of be in a district away from the other 2 so you never know
  10. Here is my proposal LPD 1)EastSide 2)Central 3)Union 4)DC 5)Lee CMD 1)GC 2)VHS 3)Battle 4)TW 5)RC CD 1)TS 2)Castlewood 3)Councl 4)TV 5)Hurley SWD 1)Grundy 2)Richlands 3)Tazwell 4)Honaker 5)Lebanon
  11. Ervinton would be a good pickup heck just play them twice
  12. Just got comfermation that Grundy is Clintwoods 9th game this season (Still Not sure of the date) the game is at Grundy
  13. Clintwood going to Grundy would not be an issue (It is closer time and milage wise than Lee GC or Grayson Co) I am still 90% sure that they are on for this season (Clintwoods scrimage this season is against Shelby Valley which sort of makes me think Grundy in the Reg season is a possability)
  14. Oh Clintwood had room Lost App/Pound/Coeburn and droped SV and were droped by Happy Valley They Picked up Gate City, Lee, Hazard, Gryson Co and I THINK Grundy If other schedules I have seen are to be belived Grundy will play Haysi/Honaker/TV and HurleY as district opponents OOD teams are Lebanon, Castlewood, (Clintwood I am 90% sure) I am VERY suprised Grundy could not keep anyone from the SWD on there schedule That being said IF Grundy is still stitting on 8 games this late in the game picking up 2 more games will be TOUGH
  15. Honistly it will be eaisier next cycle the whole Wise Co mess (6 teams 3 team 6 teams 3 teams) had EVERYONE screwed up this time What is Grundys schedule (Or 8 games ) so far? Tazwell and Richlands still play singal A teams I am suprised that they droped Grundy I would think that eastridge and Shelby Vally would be two close games for Grundy (I know both were looking for games a few months ago) Clintwood will play them every year (Till they consoladate at least) The new Central and Eastside High schools would probably not be tough to get on the schedule next time around (Not sure about Union)
  16. If they live in Russell Co it sould not be a problem however if they live in Wise Co they need to be redy to jump through some hoops
  17. I think everyone reworked there schedule (I know Clintwood did twice) If you have PV, Wise or Coeburn on your schedule then you are playing the consolidated school that took there place. to my knowledge no one still has Appy, StPaul or Pound on there schedule
  18. Not sure what you mean.....All 3 WC schools will still be singal A.....As far as Div1 goes football is getting revamped this year as for the other sports Clintwood will be bumped down to Div1 other than that not sure what you are asking
  19. Baring a court save Wise Co goes into effect next year DC will be at least 3 years down the road
  20. I don't know if it is offical or not just going by what a guy from over that way told me (He seemed convinced if that means anything LOL) As for DC i hear that this is most likly what we are going with http://www.w-christian.pvt.k12.ia.us/Athletics/Web%20pics/Wolfpack_white.jpg
  21. Does anyone know what the new school logos are going to look like? I have heard that PV/Appy (Union Bears) will Have a U like Miami with a bear in the middle.
  22. Why would Castlewood want to goto the BDD if they are not forced........I think Honaker would make a push to go back to region C but since Battle was denied that same request resently I am not sure it would fly.......That being said you could be right and Castlewood may join Honaker in the BDD
  23. The problem with that is that without Haysi I am not sure Honaker would want to stay in a district with only Hurly and TV in it
  24. I agree PLUS for football A little bit of Appy could live on if they take the field to "Thunder Struck"
  25. 700ish And the BDD fits travel time wise as does some revamping of the LPD IF Richland and Tazwell drop in the next 2 cycles TV/Hurley/Council are going to take a hit reguardless
