Did you all get to call the game from the tower? Wasn’t inside of it Friday or Saturday but figured it had a nice layout for broadcasting a game Didn’t stick around for the Tazewell game but happy for them that they won. Region D showed up and supported their teams. Rye Cove had more fans in attendance than either of the other 3 teams for the weekend. James River looked to have a good sized fan base yesterday but Tazewell did too and some were still coming in even in lightning R hats to I assume support the Bulldogs.

Which game are you looking to watch? I know some Facebook feeds for RC. I think I saw where Tazewells radio crew will be there tomorrow.

Since it is now official. All time leading scorer Adam Hood is moving from JV girls coach to varsity boys head coach at Rye Cove. Aaron Williams is joining his staff as an assistant.

I think the Spring Jubilee is the only sport that still rotates the brackets each year with some variation of who plays who in the semis.

I wish Tazewell played at 1 Friday. Good luck to the Bulldogs Friday morning.

Rogers had to throw too many pitches last night to give TN a chance tonight. Hate it’s coming to an end short of the championship games. TN misses a young Ralph on the sidelines in a week like this.

This has turned into a crap show by TN.

The game Saturday between OU/TN will be a lot of fun.

I told one of their coaches yesterday it was good to see them switch back off of black. Last years domes werent as bad as 2 seasons ago but white or blue is more fitting for them I believe.

Im just saying it in general. Its very easy to pick any statistic and shape it how someone sees fit. That wasn't a jab at you @sixcat. Could fit easily for both really. Some could go on total murders, per capita murders. Its just an old figure of speech I like to throw out anytime people counter others statistics.

Should be a really fun WS. FSU and TN are the only two who stand a chance of knocking off OU IMO. If Pickens can return to form for TN, I would try to run the rotation at OU. Start Rogers, once she gets through the lineup once, bring in Gotschall and then Pickens when Gotschall gets through the lineup. If that game runs 7 or more and you have limited OU, then follow back up with whichever you think is most effective in Gotschall or Rogers.

Just an uneducated guess but I would think Church who coached at Burton may be interested and a good candidate.

Im not familiar with the particular Birmingham Thunderbolts team she plays for, but yes there is a lot of travel involved with her playing for them.

Central had to rally from an 8-3 deficit at home vs Twin Springs this year in the bottom of the 6th to win. At that time TS wasn’t playing very good softball defensively. They have gotten much better since then.

As has been said on here in years past softball is just very strong around here. It’s the toughest sport top to bottom competition wise. A lot of these potential matchups would be fun to watch. The opening round of D2 should be very fun to watch in those 2/3 matchups and then the semis also.

In 1A softball Patrick Henry will travel to Twin Springs on Wednesday. The top side of the bracket has Honaker waiting to play the winner of PH/TS. Rural Retreat travels to Eastside. In the lower half of the bracket Twin Valley travels to Rye Cove and Grundy travels to Lebanon. Semifinals are Monday at E&H with the PH/TS/Honaker winner facing the winner of RR/Eastside. TV/RC winner will face the winner of Grundy/Lebanon.
