  1. Don't think you will get any arguement from Lebanon fans on that one.
  2. Also the kid that got hurt was Lucas Smith. He broke his leg. I am pretty sure that he was taken to Kingsport and had surgery on it last night. Tough break for him, especially being a senior, but hopefully he can still play basketball. He was Lebanon's best OT and DT. He will be tough to replace.
  3. If Lebanon is a mediocre team then PV must be horrible. Lebanon completely dominated this game. If not for the 2 goal line stands and the TD that was called back it would have been 48-7. You can say I'm making excuses but you started that by mentioning the Pinkston fumble. PV didnt even get close to scoring except when Pinkston broke the run on 4th down (not even sure if they crossed the 50 in the first half outside of that drive). I give PV credit, the played hard and had some hard hits. But this game wasn't even close.

    Giles

I believe that Giles is in for a long season. Blacksburg and Christiansburg are good AA teams but team that Giles normally hangs with and beat a good amount of the time. Plus Floyd gave Christiansburg all they could handle last week. I believe it could be a long year for Giles.
  5. PV might win the game but what Honaker game were you watching where they were stopping Lebanon good. Getting almost 400 yards rushing doesn't count as stopping the good.
  6. There were actually shirts at the Lebanon-Honaker game calling it Turf War. It was refering to the County as the turf. I believe that the Honaker-Richlands would be better for that name though.
  7. How does everyone see this game going? I believe it will be a close game early with Lebanon pulling away in the 2nd half. Pioneers 28-14
  8. I've been playing it since season 2. It is the funnest game there is in my opinion.
  9. Does anyone play this. It is fun if you like simulations. http://goallineblitz.com/game/signup.pl?ref=9716640
  10. Yeah, I'm looking forward to the game next week. Lebanon better bring their A game or it could be a long night.
  11. Can Honaker keep this game close? Will Lebanon play to their potential or will they struggle early on?

    Dawgs

You show me a team where everyone helps the other team up and I'll show you a team that gets run over. I'm not saying to kick them while their down, I hate bad sportsmanship as much as the next guy. But in football if you don't show some attitude you will get run over. It's ok to lend a hand every now and then but for the most part let their own team help them up.
  13. Lebanon will have a very strong team this season. They will be led by Jerome Cobb in the backfield or receiving (used alot like Muncy was). He has a very real chance to play large college ball. Andrew Jesse will be the QB, he is a little undersized but has a good arm and is pretty fast. The D will be very strong again. I would pick them to win Region D again this year. They have a pretty tough schedule with Tazewell, Richlands, Marion, Powell Valley, Gate City, Clintwood, Honaker, Lee, Virginia High, and John Battle. Last post on Lebanon, don't want to high jack the topic. And to be honest when Lebanon was getting throttled by Richlands, so was everyone else.
  14. And don't forget that Lebanon beat Powell Valley, Gate City, and Tazewell last year and is ranked the #1 Region D team by the Kingsport Times this season.
  15. If I'm not mistaken didn't GW do pretty good last year. Somewhere along the line of a STATE CHAMPIONSHIP.
  16. Lebanon girls are awful. They can't get past half court without turning it over. How did they beat TV.
  17. Good luck to Trigger and Floyd it has been fun and I will be pulling for you guys on Saturday. I hope Harris is healthy for the game. If he is I don't see any reason why you can't pull out a win.
  18. http://virginiapreps.rivals.com/showmsg.asp?fid=2539&mid=118361150&sid=914&tid=118361150&style=2&Override=1 This is my favorite from you though. Floyd 14-13 Luke Harris wins game while limping!!! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lebanon has the ball on FLoyds 10 with 1:38 left and a 13-7 lead. Lebanon fumbles when they should have taken a knee IMO. Luke is severely limping the entire second half. The Buffs can't move the ball at all because of him limitations. Floyd moves the ball to the 40 and has to convert a 4th and 20 which they did. Floyd moves it down and scores on a pass with 6 seconds left. Extra point good and Floyd wins. What heart!! They never quit!! Luke Harris will be a legend in FLoyd. Can't even walk without a bad limp and leads the Buffs 85 yards for the win. Unbeleivable. This was truly a team effort. Not just Luke but wow. Lebaono was big, strong, and fast. The injury to Luke helped their cause but he still pulled it off. A movie script couldn't portray what happened today!! I like how you said it was a team effort but also stated, Luke Harris wins the game while limping, couldn't move the ball because of him limitations, he will be a legend, HE pulled it off. I mean the guy is obviously good but you are on the brink of obsession.
  19. Look at your first post in this thread. Where are you talking about the team. Let's see 1. QB Luke Harris got hurt right before half. 2. That would hurt Floyd badly. 3. The offense was very limited with his inability to run. 4. He was a non factor defensively and had to be taken out. 5. A limping Luke Harris drives the Buffs 85 yards for a td with 6 seconds left Anything else, did he save someone from a burning fire, rescue a cat from a tree, help an old lady cross the road. If so let us know so we can give him the credit that he deserves.
  20. To be fair Luke Harris got hurt just before the half and he didn't do much before he was hurt. That being said he was limited in the second half. Drew Helbert not playing hurt Lebanon alot. Great game for Floyd, good luck next week.
  21. GC recovers onside kick with about 4 minutes to go.
  22. Lebanon 13-6 on a Helbert TD run.
